  1. I got the same email but I haven't heard anything from NAU. However, I was told that NAU will be sending out emails regarding more information about the orientation. I hope classes are still going to be held. With everything that is happening with COVID-19, there needs to be more nurses. This is a very unique time for all of us to be starting nursing school, and I think all of us can help other people who are negatively impacted by the current situation. I hope you are doing well and staying healthy.
  2. @Nnenna26 @NES23 Thank you; I appreciate both of you letting me know. What school's are both of you attending? I was getting ahead of myself and started to try and figure out myClinicalExchange but was told to hold off until orientation. Do you two or anyone else have information regarding the nursing orientation at NAU, or what is it like for other universities in general? Who's partnered with EMCC/NAU?
  3. Does anyone know what the graduation date is for this nursing cycle? If anyone would happen to know the month and year and could let me know, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
  4. Nursing students attending EMCC/NAU will have to RSVP on April 1st for one of the orientation dates in April. I hope I don't get there and they tell me "April fools" haha
  5. Congrats! I am very happy for you! I received mine this morning as well, and I am beyond excited. I can't wait to start. I wish you the best of luck! It's my understanding that you will know about your program schedule once you attend orientation and everything. That's a good question though.
  6. Wait, wait, wait! Lol. Did you pick other CC's? Try not to stress too much until you find out for sure. You still might get in, and if not, then you can apply again next round. You said that you don't know why you're getting worked up, but I think most people around this point get really worked up. I'm wishing you the best!
  7. @candidate 1I understand. I truly do. If you don't mind my asking, what is your score? Remember there are people here, including myself, that are willing to help/give advice so you can get accepted. I don't know if I am going to make the cut either, but we still got to kick butt and do what it takes until we do, right? Sometimes it's the challenges in life that help change us the most, and there is something to learn even if it's not what we want at the time. I know where you are coming from, but don't stop. If it's really what you want. I'm sorry. I don't know what I can do to help, but if you think of something, let me know.
  8. @candidate 1What's wrong; why the sad face?
  9. @Apple-CoreI want to know everything! I'm just playing. I can't think of anything else specific right now, but if I think of something and you don't mind, I will reach out. I'll make sure to refresh on the subjects you mentioned. My medical terminology class is about to start in a couple of weeks, and I also took a couple of HCC courses to help me prepare. Thank you again for all your help.
  10. @RoseRNBSNHaha right? Don't want to jinx it. Thank you for letting me know some of the more common academic challenges that you see other nursing students face. That's very insightful. I will make sure to pay extra attention to the details you mentioned. Thanks again!
  11. @AjMKHey! I'm really happy for you that you are loving nursing school. Quick question. Did you have to send in an application to NAU for admission while waiting to be accepted by EMCC/NAU? Or does that happen all at once when they accept a nursing candidate? Also, I chose NAU for that exact reason (going to NAU Phx campus for the first semester) and to complete my associates. I'm even more excited now that you told me your experience at the NAU campus, and that the nursing professors at EMCC are great. Thank you for sharing that!
  12. @Kaldrich06That really helps, thank you. Good luck to you as well. I'm sure you'll do great. I'll keep what you said about the lectures and classroom processes in mind for sure. You sound like you really enjoy it & that's something I want too. If you think of anything else you can think of that I should let me know, I'd appreciate any more advice. Although the info you gave is great. Thanks!
  13. @Kaldrich06Thank you, I appreciate you letting me know. No, I submitted my CEP application last month, and the faculty is about to meet in order to decide who gets accepted. I hope I'll start in August. You know haha. I'm going to go check out the Facebook group.
  14. @Kaldrich06 That's alright, and please do not be sorry. I didn't know there was a Facebook group but I am definitely going to check it out. Would you mind letting me know what the group is called?
  15. @Apple-CoreWell, I know who to go now if I have any questions haha. Thank you so much. That information was very useful, so thank you again. Got any good advice?
