  1. Hi, there! This is so similar to what I have been contemplating on doing. I am about to finish my BSW this December and I'm almost positive I won't be going after my MSW and switching to nursing. With that said, I've been looking into programs and I think the CEP RN/MSN with PCC and GCU is the best option for me for all the reasons you mentioned. Is it an actual MSN or is it similar to the MEPN where you get your RN and (I think) a masters in science? Could you give an update on how it's been and where you're at now? Also, do hospitals hire this degree the same as a BSN since you don't earn a BSN with this degree? Tried to PM you, but it didn't let me. Thanks in advance!
  2. Hello! I am currently a bachelor of social work student and I am on track to graduate December 2020. In the past year, or so, I have become more and more interested in nursing. I live in the state of Arizona and am very interested in the University of Arizona's Master of Science, Entry to the Profession of Nursing (MEPN) program. I am fully aware this is not the same as an MSN degree. I am wondering how similar this is to a BSN degree. If so, how? How is an MEPN received in the nursing field/community? What are the differences in pay? Why not just get an RN and skip the master of science? Also, how does the MEPN compare to an ABSN in these same areas? I am aware of the differences in time it takes to complete these and tuition, so, that's not really what I am interested in. Any perspective or knowledge on the MEPN program/degree would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance!
  3. Question on the sentence in bold. How do BSN and MEPN degrees compare? Time/money aside, what makes them different and is one considered higher/better than another by employers or in the nursing community? How do they compare when it comes to pay? I am completing a social work degree, but considering nursing when I am done. Thanks in advance!
