  1. Just wanted to reply as I haven’t seen any! I am coming as an experienced nurse at first hill , all the best luck to you!
  2. I have classroom and new employee orientation Monday , the second week I’ll be in the NICU on Tuesday and then classroom , the third week I’ll be in postpartum for 2 days and then after that itll just be nicu and classroom ! It’s a lot !
  3. Can’t wait to meet you Monday ! My schedule is packed with classroom and the unit after the first week! I’m scared but excited!
  4. Not the first week because it’s orientation but after that it’s 1-2 times a week on the unit with class
  5. I got the first 2 weeks and then my full schedule a day apart but one was from HR coordinator and one was from the unit. It says my final presentation is April 20 which I believe is when the classes end. 4-6 months with a preceptor is what I believe they are referring to
  6. I think that was it , I interviewed Jan 22 . Yes but I literally just got my full schedule last Thursday so it’s super close to the start date.
  7. All of the residencies across CHI are starting on March 2nd , that’s atleast what they told me. So far my schedule is REALLY filled , like 4 days a week. My residency ends April 20
  8. Yes I was interviewed in January so I think it filled quickly ! The NICU!
  9. I just replied on your thread but I’m starting in March at st joes
  10. Hey I’m starting the st Joseph residency but in March !
  11. Same to you! I’m so happy you found a place that you like! Thank you for starting and replying to this thread it’s been nice to see where we all landed!
  12. Okay yay I thought mine was just delayed because I’m in the process of endorsing my license from Florida ! It should come in another week so until then I can’t do any of the badge stuff yet. But I’m feeling exactly the same because I don’t think they hired a lot of new grads in the NICU for our floor so I’m nervous since it’s a lot to learn! They told me I could hit the ground running With going to deliveries since I already have NRP but honestly that scares the heck out of me !
  13. When does your orientation start? Mine is March 2nd and I’m so impatient
  14. Oh yay! Feel free to messsage me or anything before orientation ! Can’t wait to meet you
  15. Omg yay! I can’t wait to work with you!! Are you gunna be on nights too ?
  16. I don’t think it’ll take you 1.5 hours , I think maybe an hour , if stay away from highways
  17. Isaxena thats awesome!! I interviewed at valley in Renton and it’s below Seattle.and I came from Tacoma area and it took me 45 mins
  18. I interviewed for Swedish NICU last week and it was ALL behavior based questions with 6-8 people in a conference room. I also did interview for Tacoma General. Swedish did give me a tour of their unit which was nice. I wasn’t picked for either of those. I did get a call yesterday for St Francis as well but told them I was offered at st joes. st joes asked about my practicum in the NICU and what my general cases were. they asked why nicu ? why st joes ? what role do you play in a team ? how do you meet new people? miscommunication with a teammate or coworker ? thats all I can remember
  19. nursedestinee I just want to say I’ve been on 2 NICU interviews at 2 different hospitals and no one was as nice and sweet as the managers at St joesph! The NICU is undergoing a lot of renovations so the area is tight but the organization they have going is something I’m proud to now say I’m a part of.
  20. update I was offered a position in the level III NICU at st joes so I won’t be attending my interview at Swedish for pediatrics
  21. isaxena thats great! I’m so happy for you! I just had an interview today with valley for a medical surgical floor. I ended up not getting the NICU job at Swedish ?but I still have an interview for pediatrics there next week. St joes called me and said they’d reach to recruitment for a NICU interview Too so I’m still in limbo
  22. I am hopeful as well with the NICU, hoping everything works out
  23. Thank you! I was thinking that too, because they told me similar things on my answers. I’m really hoping Swedish. St joes posted nicu but I’m told they have a lot of bullying in the unit from other nurses
  24. Nursedestinee i was really upset to be honest about TGH the nurse manager told me they were offering 10+ positions and that since I got called for an interview I pretty much had the position....I prepared so much , I was positive and I smiled and was bubbly and then didn’t get it... I was crushed
  25. Issaquah : Medical Specialty, Medical Oncology, Postpartum, Surgery, and Telemetry this is from the post but NICU is only for the first hill campus right now
