I took my TEAS on Friday at MNU and I did well! So I am officially accepted!

I lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota for the past 4 years, so I like the big but not too big city feel! I do have some past healthcare experience. My bachelor's degree is in Health Services Management and I worked as a direct care professional at a group home for disabled individuals for the past year. What about you?

I got accepted on a "conditional basis" because I have to take my TEAS test still. The test is on July 10th and it feels like a lot of pressure because I will for sure get in as long as I do well (68+)!! Nervous! I am also not from Kansas City, but I plan to stay here for a bit because my boyfriend is working at truman medical center for the next 3 years! Are you guys from around this area? (I am originally from Minnesota)

I also got a call today! I am technically "conditionally" accepted because I haven't gotten a chance to take the TEAS (with all of the closings). I just have to get a 68+ then I'll be in! And I am hoping the practice test I took was accurate because if it is then I should be able to get a 68+. I am not from the Missouri or Kansas area, and I am wondering what reputation MNU has in the community? The other two ABSN programs I am applying for are the University of St.Mary and William Jewell College. Does anyone know how MNU compares to these other programs?

Hi! I did end up getting off of the weight list for their program and the reason that I did get off of it was because I continued to show interest in hearing back from them! When I got the email about being put on the weight list I continued to reach out to them to show them that I was really interested in their program and they said that was why they offered me admissions (they didn't officially say this but when I chatted with the admissions person that is what she alluded to). They have a huge focus on diversity and for me I am a white female going into nursing... Not too diverse! So in my essay, I was upfront about the fact that I have had a fairly privileged life but that doesn't mean that I can't do my best to empathize with a diverse patient population.

If you are looking to stay working fulltime then I would look into saint kate's entry-level masters of nursing program. They go to classes at night! But I think that Metro is the most affordable program. Not exactly sure what the cost is.

I just received my email, and I am on the "reconsider" list (waitlist). I am wondering about others!

Hello! Is there anyone on here that applied for fall 2020? I am anxiously waiting because I got rejected from the U of M and really want to start working toward my RN. Or are there any past people who have any new insight on the program? Are they really sending admissions via mail? That seems like it'll take longer! Ugh

Good luck to you too! Do you know if you can update your degree? I just graduated in December I am nervous about my GRE score ? it was lower a little lower than 50th percentile ugh

and just to clarify you're applying to the program that is for non-nurses, right?

Hello! I am also very nervous about how short the program is, but I am wondering if there are different amounts of time for different NP directions? I did call and ask and there is no interview and they said you will get an email in January of February if you have got in or not. I also did not see how many people typically apply? And how many people actually get in? Does anyone know the stats on that? I am also pretty nervous about my GRE score because it was not great... I am not sure how much emphasis they put on the GRE?
