  1. Hi again, Was just wondering what people are doing for housing in general? I've been looking on craigslist, but is there a nursing housing page people have been using? Just trying to get a feel! Thanks:)
  2. Does anyone know when the new student orientation will be?
  3. Hi there, My stats were 3.67 undergrad GPA. I had two pre-rec science courses where I struggled and got C's. I ended up retaking these classes at community college and did much better. I know that this helped me out in the long run- so even if you struggle at first, you can always redo classes. A side note, if you are coming from a UC or school on the quarter system make sure to call and email the school of nursing and grad studies to make sure they understand how to calculate your units. I had quite a bit of trouble with this so please make sure you are persistent if you think you have all of the pre-recs. I volunteered during study abroad in Oaxaca Mexico and volunteered at a few hospitals during my undergrad career. I currently work as an EMT and that experience helped me so much. I also worked as an undergraduate peer advisor for Psychology majors in college. Best of luck to you!!
  4. It looks like in my case, the school of nursing sent me the admissions letter, but grad studies didn't send me one yet. That means I don't have an SFSU email and the admissions decision hasn't been reflected on my account. I guess I have to wait for them to email me.
  5. I just looked and I don't see anything. Under student center at the bottom?
  6. Congrats!!! Excited to meet all of you:)
  7. Hey! I just got an email but i was a little confused. Mine says that the nursing admissions committee is recommending that grad studies formally accept me for the ELM A program. Are your guy’s like that too?
  8. Thank you so much! I had a 3.6 overall for undergrad. I got a few C's in some science courses and I retook them at Community College and got A's. I think this definitely helped me be more competitive. I volunteered at a couple hospitals during undergrad and also did a medical study abroad/ internship in Mexico. I also worked as a student advisor for my major. I later became an EMT after graduating from college. I think no matter what your grades, you can always always retake something so don't be discouraged. And any experiences just working with people I think are super helpful, doesn't necessarily have to be with patients. I hope that helps. I think just showing your commitment and dedication are a big part of it.
  9. You were correct! Thank you
  10. Also I never received an email, I just checked my account and the acceptance letter was there. Was this the case for anyone else? Thanks
  11. Hi everyone, Very excited to find out I was accepted. I am also having trouble finding the link for intent to enroll. I sent an email to someone in the program so I will definitely let you know if I hear anything. Where are people planning on living? Exciting to meet you all. And for anyone with questions please feel free to ask away.
