  1. Not sure about the cohort size, the courses are hybrid so it's difficult to tell. My GPA was a 3.9, with a year of psych experience. I THINK they help with preceptors, I'm not sure about that yet. There are also some people fresh out of school, psych experience doesn't seem to be required
  2. I'm working full time and I started the program this Summer. I took two of the three credit courses over the Summer. Currently taking the remainder of the first semester courses along with nursing research. Everything is fairly easy so far, and administration does respond if you email. First semester is a lot of nursing theory stuff so I find it more annoying than anything. Second semester has more of the pharmacology, anatomy, and assessments so hopefully I'll enjoy that more.
  3. The Hunter program is hybrid, some classes are purely online while others are a mix of in person and online. One big change in the program is now 3 years full time. I attached the current full time plan so you can take a look. PMHNP Plans MS FULL time_Rev DEC.2022 (4)Rev August 3-23 DiPiazza.docx
  4. May want to email them. They might make an exception if the hold up was a recommendation.
  5. Hi there! I'm doing the MSN program, what about you?
  6. The biggest changes are: Actual inpatient psych experience, where before I only had CT Stepdown experience My recommendations were much stronger. I had them written by a psychiatrist, pmhnp, and a nurse manager. Before they were only clinical professors and co-workers. My essay was clearer and to the point. I have no idea why I thought submitting my garbage essay from last year would work. Likely applying twice showed persistence? This one is pretty speculative though That's honestly all I can think of.
  7. Thank you! I submitted my application on February 8th and received the decision on February 21st. I also applied last year and was rejected.
  8. Hi Everyone, I just got my acceptance into Hunter's 2023 PMHNP program and was wondering if anyone has gone through it, or if there are any others who got accepted? Thanks! Julian

  10. That phase should have been completed in October/November. It's very unlikely you'd receive an invitation at this point in time. However, it's not impossible considering the current climate.
  11. If you had an interview then the only thing to expect is silence until you receive an acceptance or waitlist in January.
  12. The entire program is online at the moment with the exception of clinicals, which are ending prior to Thanksgiving break. Other than clinicals the only in-person activities were simulation/training labs. Many people opted to commute rather than live on/close to campus because of infrequent onsite activity. That being said, I'm unsure of what next year holds.
  13. Fall 2020 $6863.65 Summer2020 $7582.79 Those figures are what I paid in tuition for Fall and Summer. I'm just finishing up the Fall semester now so I don't know the Spring tuition cost, but I'm assuming it's similar to the Fall bill. Expect like 2-3K for books, then toss in rent or commuting costs.
  14. Invitations to interview were sent out on 10/21. Interviews were completed in November. I received my acceptance on January 9th. I don't believe you receive anything when you don't get selected for an interview until about December/January. You receive communications for being rejected, waitlisted, or accepted. If you get waitlisted you might not receive an acceptance until May.
