  1. I personally did not have any clinical or ccrn questions. I did have a question where you kinda had to know the effect of a med and if it was appropriate but it was truly a behavioral question- assessing communication skills and patient advocacy. I have heard that sometimes your grades, ccrn scores, gre scores may determine whether or not you get clinical questions. I don't know how true that is. I do know that TCU focuses heavily on EI and preparedness for the program. My interview was very laid back and almost like a chitchat. Final advice: ask questions. Good questions. Not questions you can find answers to on their website. Thought-provoking questions, I think it makes you more memorable and appear like you did your research.
  2. Does anyone know the start date for Methodist residency program in February? Specifically Methodist sugarland
  3. Congratulations!! When did you interview?
  4. Hello guys, So a friend of mine called the admissions office and she was told that they are still working on the applications they received in January and February because they extended the deadline. Therefore acceptances will continue to be rolled out. However if you applied by the Jan 1st deadline, you should have heard back. Good luck to all still in the race??
  5. Hi, My inquiry is about accommodation. Which areas/ apartment complexes are relatively less expensive? With good amenities, proximity to the school and a number of jhuson students reside in? I was thinking of looking around when i go for the accepted students day next week
  6. Hi, Going by what happened for prior cohorts, yes you will have to wait until sometime in march when decisions are released. You will not get them independently. Concerning scholarships, you will be automatically reviewed for scholarships and if you're awarded any, it will be on your acceptance letter. You needn't start a separate scholarship application for JHUSON, except you're applying for external scholarships. I hope this helped clarify a few things.
  7. Yes you can. But try to keep it within a week so that it's not too far from the deadline
  8. I think you will still need to take human growth because it’s a required course.
  9. I don't think they count the words. Mine were 343 and 309. So i think you should be fine. Just don't make it too long
  10. what's the name of the group? i can't find it.
  11. How much did you get in scholarship?
  12. Scholarships are listed in the admission letter once you go in the portal. I also got a scholarship.
  13. I got in!!!!!!!!! i'll see you all in August
  14. Hi, Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. It definitely lifted my spirit. Fingers crossed and eyes on the prize!!
  15. Does any one know how many students are accepted for early admissions? If one isn't accepted, is the application still reviewed under regular priority deadline or denied? I'm really worried because I have no healthcare experience. Good grades but no experience. I'm nervous as to what degree that might affect my chances Really hope to get in because JHUSON is my top choice!
  16. As long as you submitted your application on or before Nov 1st, you'll be reviewed under Early decisions. The admissions office also told me they allow some time for all your references to be submitted. However, the earlier the better. I guess if they do not get it before decisions are made, they move the applicant to the regular decisions pool (my assumption) I also submitted and got verified before the deadline. Just playing the waiting game now. I really hope to get in! This is my first choice.
  17. download the application form. it should be under both "Check Status" and "submit application"
  18. Your profile looks strong. People on previous threads have constantly complained about their GPA being dropped by nursingCAS, i guess they have a special way of calculating it. Seems like everyone has some healthcare experience, I don't and it makes me so nervous.
  19. Unfortunately I am unable to say what your chances are. I know JHUSON looks at applicants holistically: your gpa, LOR, volunteer work, any type of work, basically everything you put in your application. Your work experience should definitely help. I would think diversity helps as well.
  20. I submitted mine about two days ago. So I think NursingCAS recalculates your gpa after verification. I do not know how that works. My undergrad is international so I had to do WES evaluation of my transcripts and that is what was uploaded by NursingCAS. However, on previous threads, people have complained about a drop in gpa after NursingCAS re-calculated. Good luck to all but I'm quite nervous. The countdown begins!
  21. Is anyone applying for early decisions?
  22. Hi, I suggest you leave it out. When I spoke to the admissions office, they advised putting GRE scores only if it improves the outlook of your application or if you score really high i.e. In the 70th percentile and above. If your gpa is good, you probably should skip it.
  23. Yes. It is very short. Especially for the first question. But oh well.. Do you know what the nursingCAS process is like? I heard something about a "complete" status being different from a "submitted" status. I'm confused. I started filing out the application though
