  1. From what I have heard from others, yeah you get a call with an offer or an email with a rejection. I hope you heard good news today!!
  2. I heard back with a phone call the week of November 19th with an offer. They told us we would know either way, so I definitely would reach out to whatever recruiter had been contacting you and ask for an update!
  3. Hi! I applied today for the residency and I am a December grad. I had an externship on a peds floor. does anyone know what the process is like/have heard back about their initial application?
  4. has anyone heard back yet?? i guess we will find out next week since this one is pretty much over. I’m getting so anxious!
  5. yes all situation based! if you google top nursing interview questions, those are the ones i would look at and see if you can think of answers for.
  6. thats weird that yours wasn't one of your top. maybe it was a mistake or maybe they were placing people where there were openings. I hope it was for a unit you have a little bit of interest in though! sorry that happened.
  7. Mine was one of my top 3! I can't remember which order I ranked because I pretty much blacked out during my phone interview haha. Yeah I was surprised the questions were so similar, I thought they would do something completely different from the phone interview. How many people do you think were there?
  8. hi! how did today go for everyone? it was definitely long haha and for me a lot of similar questions to the phone interview! i was told we would hear next week
  9. yes mine is today as well! I'm interested to see how many people will be there. good luck
  10. thats what the recruiter told me during my phone interview last month unless something has changed since then! yeah I have no idea like what the chances are at this point so thats making me a little nervous. but I know the timeline is quick from here on out. like we should know around thanksgiving!
  11. I feel like this application process has been going on for so long im ready to go! very cool, im excited to hear more about the program during the presentation. I know they said they are taking 49 nurse residents on this cycle, but I wish they included how many will be at the event......
  12. yay!! congrats. me too! I wonder what the day is like ...
  13. For anyone that's looking for more information, I had my interview and here's the general timeline: After interview, you either do or don't get an e-mail asking for references. if you get the e-mail, you move on. 4 references needed, its a skill-survey, like 27 questions ranking from 1-7. They are scoring each applicant on a rubric: interview, references, GPA, relevant work experience, and goal statement. If you score high enough, then you get invited to the in person interview day which is going to be November 12. if you can't make that day, she said they work with you so that you can come a different day. During the interview they ask for your top 3 units of preference. The decisions for which unit you interview for are based on your rubric score. Higher scorers get their first choice, and so on. I hope this helps any of you looking.
  14. congratulations!! have you heard or know any info about what the phone inter view is like? I am guessing some situation based questions but its so hard to prepare.
  15. Hi - wondering if anyone else is graduating in December 2019 and is/has applied for the nurse residency program at UW Madison beginning in the winter. I applied a few weeks ago and heard back about a phone interview. Was hoping we could help eachother out with dates and info!
