  1. I am currently employed as a clinical edcuator for staff in a telemetry amd M/S and Peds area although my background is Critical area and emergency nursing.I have my BSN and am currently searching porgrams to complete my Masters in Nursing Administration (thinking about the future). I currently also teach ACLS, BLS and PALS and am employed part time as adjunct faculty for a university and teach clinicals for them. Oh... and I am PICC certified and teach others this skill. Whewwwwwww...................
  2. while i woudl never discourage you from nursing, i worry how nursing courses will be for you. You will be expected to lift, etc. Perhaps you should speak to the dean of the college you attend and ask her advice in that regards. As far as when you graduate, i am certain there are opportunities for you. Just choose wisely and be sure to understand what is expected of you physically. Good Luck1
  3. Does anyone out there know if there is definitive guidelines for administering dilantin via PICC lines. There is some literature about it that says "no" and some that say "yes" and some that say only if you have no other choice. I understand that it precipitates very readily in PICC's and wonder if it's and old recommendation? Anyone?
