  1. I’m pretty sure this is the test for etg (presence of alcohol metabolites). I’ve never confirmed that, but it’s always been my guess. I had the $65 one at least every other month.
  2. My date was officially 9/29. I guess since that was a Sunday I had to wait for someone to be in the office to “press the button”. A friend of mine finished KARE in July, and she continued being able to log in and check in for a week after her date. I’m glad mine didn’t hang around that long, as I nearly climbed out of my own skin being able to log in one day after lol. So many congrats to you on your upcoming finish. It truly is the best feeling I’ve had in such a long time. Can’t wait til you can experience it too! Be sure if you owe any fees to the board or any missing paperwork it’s in early. I’ve heard these things can hold things up for weeks!
  3. Today is it!! Logged in with affinity and saw “please activate account”. This is the best feeling. Its a long hard 5 years, but it does end!
  4. My 5 years of KARE monitoring in Kentucky is officially over! I logged into affinity and got the most beautiful alert ever......please activate account! This feeling is unreal. It’s been the toughest 5 years of my life. Employment struggles, financial struggles, and so much more. I am officially on top of the world. If you’re reading this and feeling hopeless, please know that the end will come, and it’s such a great feeling. Anyone here feel free to message me if you ever need support or any questions answered. Love and prayers to all ?
  5. I’m a little late to your question, but yes. All of these answers are correct. Always email your case manager immediately with an explanation. The first check in I missed, I called mine in tears. She calmed my nerves and told me since it wasn’t a selection day, I was fine and to not make a habit of it. I’m near the end of my 5 years now. I’ve missed a few check ins over the course, and they were all on Saturday and Sunday. Very serious piece of advice......be vigilant going forward. During the final months of my program I have started being selected for tests on Saturdays and Sundays. My guess is because of the missed check ins on those days. Good luck to all. Keep fighting the fight ?
  6. Thanks for the update, and congrats on your upcoming graduation! I was floored by my first weekend selection, as it made my working schedule and finding a site difficult. Now I’m just expecting it til I finish. The only thing I can gather is that maybe it’s because any missed check ins I’ve had over the years were on Saturday or Sunday. And yes, always have a plan in place just in case, because it definitely can happen. Best wishes to all ?
  7. Hi everyone. My goodness how I wish I had known of this thread nearly 5 years ago. I’m in the final month of my contract with KARE. It’s a very exciting and nervous time for me. So happy to finally be near the end. Also, so scared that even the smallest of things will go wrong as I wait for these days to tick down. I was curious if anyone else here has been selected for Saturday or Sunday drug screens. Not one in my 5 years had I been until recently. Now it seems all of my selections are Saturday or Sunday. Thanks and good luck to everyone ?
