Sat my NCLEX-RN today
It sounds like you used good material along with UWorld. I know that it can be hard knowing what's at stake, but unlike nursing school, you can take NCLEX again. I went in prepared to take all 200+ questions. I got to question 73 and I started freaking out so I took a 5 minute break to re- center myself. When I clicked next and the exam went to question 76, I did a lot of self talk saying it was ok. I clicked next and the exam shut off. After the exam, I walked out feeling that I missed a lot of questions because it came down to 2 answers that sounded correct and I had to guess with a couple of them. I honestly felt like I failed it, but many of my questions were: correct, incorrect, correct, correct, incorrect. When I was at question 60-something, I stopped seeing SATA questions and got really nervous. Apparently priority questions are similar to SATA questions. I want to say that my last 5 questions were single answer questions. Don't freak out just yet. And, like I said, you have a chance to take NCLEX again if you don't pass. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hang in there. This board exam does not define who you are as a nurse. It's just another bridge and we all cross that bridge eventually. I am so so happy for you!!! Thanks for keeping us posted. I know that waiting for results can be daunting and I remember walking out of the testing site feeling doubtful like you did, but you passed! Congratulations! I'm in California so I'm not sure how long NY takes to post to the BON. I sat for my exam on a Monday and I saw my name on late Wednesday evening.

I know that it's easier said than done, but before you start worrying, wait until you receive the results. I've heard that it's normal to feel like you failed after taking NCLEX. I felt like I failed after taking it, but I passed. Remember that there are a handful of future questions sprinkled into the actual exam that don't count. This is their indirect way of testing questions before actually making them count. If you do receive results that you failed, let it sink in, then let it go, and start studying again. Think about your study habits and if they really worked to prepare you based on what you saw on the NCLEX. There's no possible way to fully get every question correct no matter how much studying you do. How did you study? For me, I used UWorld as well as Kaplan. I only used Kaplan because we were required to pay for it through school, but it also helped me to prioritize and learn techniques on answering the questions. Whatever you do, don't give up! Since you passed nursing school (and that's not an easy thing to do), you can get past this board exam. Keep your chin up and believe in yourself! You've got this!

Have you checked for your name on the CA BRN License verification site? I sat for my exam on a Tuesday and I saw my name and license number on a Friday morning. I received my licensing certificate the following week. Good luck!
