Mostly geared to recent new grads--but anyone live in Chicago can tell me their experience of graduating, sitting for boards, and then getting a job within the chicagoland area? I am graduating next month and am getting nervous about jobs. How soon after you passed your boards did you find a job--and what job did you accept? TIA

Following--I have heard of so many different prep courses. I feel like the most common one I have heard are Barkley and Sarah Michelle.

As I am approaching the end of my FNP program--I feel like I know nothing. Furthermore, I feel like I have dropped the ball in coming up with a plan for graduation->board prep->board->job hunt. I graduate in April and I feel like my classmates are already interviewing for NP jobs and purchased NP review programs and I am just focusing on course work. Every time I speak to someone different, I hear a different prep course so I am all over the place. I also know some people take more than one review course? What do you guys think is the most common/recommended courses to take upon completion of the FNP program to best prepare us for boards?

How would these organizations help me locate preceptors? I’m willing to try anything. I’ve been trying for a year now and still no luck. I’m so devastated.

Hi! I am currently at Chamberlain and am having such A DIFFICULT time finding a preceptor. I lost count how many rejections I have had. Many gave me their word until it was time to work up contract and then I have been ghosted and the rest denied. I don't know where else to go! I have asked prior Chamberlain students, networked through the providers I work with, reached out to past employers. I don't know where else to look or what else to do and am so discouraged. Does anybody have this issue in the Chicagoland area? Anybody have recommendations for any potential preceptors or where else to look? Many, many thanks!
