Anyone else checking their email 2+ times a day knowing good and well there's not going to be anything there? Just me? ?

OCCC Traditional Fall 2021
Oh wow! The Spring batch of applications was supposedly the most they had ever gotten up to that point. Now they have even more? Sounds like it will be another competitive cohort. I was accepted for the Spring but turned it down because my kids' school was moved to distance learning. I received my associates degree in December and applied again for the fall with 20 preference points. Good luck, everyone!

OU vs. OCCC
Which did you end up choosing and are you happy with your choice?

OCCC-TRADITIONAL Spring 2021
I declined. ? I have no idea what's going to happen with my kids' education in the Spring and I can't really commit to being on campus or in clinicals. Good luck to everyone else!

OCCC-TRADITIONAL Spring 2021
We won't find out lab and clinical schedules until orientation in December. They should have told you what days you have lecture in your acceptance email. The Spring lectures are 5:30pm to 8:30pm two days a week. AFAIK, all labs and clinicals are during the day.

OCCC-TRADITIONAL Spring 2021
Does anyone have any idea what clinical and lab times will be like for the Spring? I'm trying to figure out if I need to find after school care ?.

OCCC-TRADITIONAL Spring 2021
I got in!! Now I need to decide if I'm going to go ahead with Spring or apply for Fall instead... Good luck to you all!

OCCC-TRADITIONAL Spring 2021
I was afraid it would be more competitive this semester. My thought was that those who were going to apply for / did apply for the Fall cohort held back and are now applying for this semester. Or maybe lots of people lost their jobs? Maybe it's the crisis effect? Who knows, but I guess we won't be hearing anything anytime soon.

OCCC-TRADITIONAL Spring 2021
A little off-topic... I just looked on self-service to register for late fall and noticed that I now have two programs listed: One is AA Liberal Studies (which is what I've always had) and now there is also AAS Traditional Nursing ... does this mean something??! I certainly didn't add it. I guess it's possible my advisor changed something, but he's been kind of MIA and didn't really help me apply. I wonder if this is automatically added for everyone that applies or if it means something. I think I'm just grasping at straws, though.

OCCC-TRADITIONAL Spring 2021
Hey! I applied with 19 pref. pts. I'm worried that I may have filled out the application incorrectly, though! My advisor was no help. I hope we all hear back sooner than later. I've heard the Spring program is much less competitive, but Covid may have changed things. Fingers crossed!

Can I go straight from an ADN program to an RN to BSN program?
I am currently getting my Associates in Liberal Arts which will cover all of my pre reqs and gen ed classes for both an ADN and BSN program (except for one upper division class I'll have to get later). Going directly from and ADN to an RN to BSN program appeals to me because I'll basically be able to get my entire BSN part-time (There's no part-time option for traditional BSN at the school I'll be applying to.). I have three kids from ages 1-9 so part-time could really help with juggling everything. However, I will probably apply to both the ADN and BSN programs when the time comes and see what happens. So, what I'm asking is: Does anyone know if I can get my ADN, pass NCLEX, and go directly into an RN to BSN program? I'm sure this could greatly depend on the school and whether they want to accept someone without nursing experience.
