California early termination of probation
I was under probation for a DUI in Ca, nearly 7 years before entering nursing school. However, many of the nurses in my mandated RN Support group were there for diversion. Not a single person was successful in getting charges dropped. Those who tried, wasted thousands of dollars in lawyer fees only to be offered the SAME exact offer from the BRN. I highly recommend you do not spend the time or money going into litigation. Accept the offer, stay in compliance with the program, and hope for early termination if you can. I hope this information helps! It will be challenging, but you can do it, and will come out a stronger individual and nurse because of it.

"Program compliance, met all requirements asked of you, ready to start the next chapter of your life, further your career as an RN etc.”-all valid! Remember, you have the right to request this because you honored your agreement with the BRN. And it IS time to turn the page! I've never seen anyone get turned down, as long as they were compliant. Thankfully they have sped up the process, although it will still feel like eternity! 1-2 months if I remember correctly. Chin up. You did the work, you've got this!- California early termination of probation
Thank you for sharing your story, I can only imagine the sheer excitement and relief that you have experienced! I have been in the CA-RN Prob program since May of 2019, and recently filed my petition for early release I’m May 2021. This was for a nearly 10 year old DUI- long before I ever even entered nursing school. But none the less, here I am, doing what I need to do to get through this season, and boy have I learned/grown a lot through it all!! I finally received notice that the board got my petition packet; the letter stated that it would be reviewed, and that I’d been placed on a list for the next board meeting. Does this sound familiar? Or did your packet go straight to the AGs office? I know that the board is already quite busy, and might be short staffed due to Covid, so I was anticipating a delay in processing. However, your post gives me hope! There is a light at the end of the tunnel and God has gotten me this far:) Any insight is helpful, thank you so much in advance. - California early termination of probation
