  1. Hi! when I was applying and spoke to someone at UM they said that you could apply without having everything processed. As they receive it they will look over everything. I believe it was sometime in January after submitting or early February I then got an email stating that your application is ready for review. You can always follow up but I believe it should be fine. Best of luck!
  2. Hi! I am coming from a pediatric ICU background. Basically you’re in control of your interview. Anything you mention is fair game. The drips we use, adults use just in different doses. Example, say you have a kid on an oscillator or ventilator and if the patient is paralyzed with vec and on pressors now how they work, where they work, what dose, and why you’re using them. Know why you’re using an oscillator versus a servo vent, etc. if they have a chest tube, why and what is the function of one, etc. you got this :)
  3. I didn’t see anything. here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/324721768511251/?ref=share
  4. Here’s the link ? https://www.facebook.com/groups/324721768511251/?ref=share

  6. Hey guys! I created a facebook page and the name is - University of Miami SRNA 2021. Let me know if you guys can find it ?
  7. Hey guys! What do you think if I make a facebook group so we can keep in touch before starting? Congratulations again to everyone!?
  8. CONGRATS to everyone so far!! I also got my acceptance email today. I interviewed 2/26!
  9. Mine has said complete for months now ever since I submitted my application and it was verified back in January/February.
  10. Thank you so much for letting us all know! Best of luck to everyone!???
  11. I think they’re just running behind and since ****** isn’t there, I’m not sure who’s doing all that communication back and forth. Finals wrap up next week for the students at least for first years as far as I know and then they have a week off for sure I know that, not sure if it’s any longer. The wait is absolutely awful, but just have to trust the process ??
  12. So I spoke to a recruiter since ******* isn’t there anymore and she said that they’re still working on applications and that we should hear by the beginning of the month I’m assuming she meant June. She said she didn’t know much about it but no decisions have been sent out. I know people that have heard back for the FNP 2020 program but also not sure how that process is. Just have to wait. Let me know if anyone else has heard anything else.
  13. Please let me know what they say! I wish there was someone there to answer phone calls ?
  14. And hopefully no later than June. The wait is awful. I’ll probably reach out first week of May for an update.
  15. I heard that interviews concluded yesterday and now the actual waiting starts... I’m guessing another few weeks now
  16. @Toocute ccrn @jjrn1989 totally relatable! The last I heard was I reached out 4/7 and they said they’re working diligently to get everything done and then I asked if there was a timeframe and they said it was hard to say ? seriously stressing big time
  17. Hello Everyone, I too interviewed 2/26 and have not heard anything besides that things are delayed, and still do not have a time frame as to letting us know what the decisions are. The anxiety is real HAHA I heard from a current student that they are hoping to transition back to campus late June so I hope we hear sometime in May! Best of luck to everyone.
  18. Hi! Keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us! I applied two weeks ago today to the Hollywood campus and on Monday I got an email saying they’re reviewing applications. Not sure what that time frame is usually like but I’ll keep you updated!
  19. I’m so so sorry! I hope that you continue to apply to other schools! It’s so hard but just have to keep on trying ?? Thank you for updates and i wish you the absolute best of luck!!
  20. Thank you so much for the update! I submitted on Thursday so it’ll be a week for me tomorrow. Just nervous, and wondering what’s to be expected. Good luck! I’ll let you know if I hear anything.
  21. Congrats again to everyone! I am so excited for everyone applying and those who got accepted! I recently applied (FINALLY), and I was wondering - How long did it take to hear back for an interview? I applied to Hollywood campus, not quite sure if that makes a difference or not. Thanks for all the news and info! ? I just submitted through NursingCas!
  22. Just wanted to say congrats to everyone interviewing! I finished my personal statement and Ill be hitting submit this weekend finally! HAHA ahh so nervous. Best of luck!!!! keep us in the loop ?
  23. Hi! So yes I did use NursingCAS to apply. I called and spoke to someone and basically where it’s incomplete you can attach a word document stating you’re taking your CCRN whenever or whatever it is that is pending. Also if you’re pending course work you can just submit enrollment verification under the prerequisites tab is what I was told ? My GRE scores weren’t hot but I’m hoping they look at everything all together. Thank you to everyone and good luck!??
  24. Hi Everyone! I am currently in the process of applying to Barry for the May 2020 cohort but I feel like I’m so behind! Im taking my GRE next week and CCRN in September. I was planning on submitting my application in September but I’ve been reading that some people submitted the application pending some requirements? Just wanted to double check ? I have worked in PICU since March 2018 prior to that I was in the ER. My BSN GPA was a 3.9 and undergrad GPA was a 3.86. However, I am just dreading this GRE ? I’m also taking a chemistry lab in August and the online chemistry lecture they offer that starts in August as well! Trying not to freak out but of course freaking out! Any tips? Thank you in advance and good luck to everyone on their interviews!!
