Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
Has anyone taken their CPR training yet? Did you do online or in person? I tried looking on the AMA website for a class but can't find any. Maybe I'm searching wrong. I can't find a class for Healthcare Provider w Basic Life and AED for Infant, child and adult (taken from Castlebranch as what we need) Is it multiple classes?

Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
I printed out my drug order confirmation and the drug screening order itself, but the instruction also say to take the "e-chain" with me, what is that? I never got an email from CB saying my drug order was ready, I had to log into CB and find it myself. Is the e-chain really needed if I have everything else? Also, I went on Quest to make an appointment but can't find the specific drug panel they are requesting. I really don't want to be a walk-in because at my local Quest it's soooo busy and I'll be sitting there for 4 hours and they even have a sign on the door saying walk-ins may not be taken

Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
I sent in my email to accept my spot, but when I tried to do the symposium scheduling there’s nothing there. Maybe I’m jumping the gun but I’m so excited and I don’t want to miss anything. I want to sign into castlebranch to do the drug screening but haven’t yet. Does anyone know where you go for that?

And the jurisdictions that you live in.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
I’m actually dreading “decision day” because with 800+ applications and only accepting 100 max, realistically probably 60-80, I’m bracing for the rejection email.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
On September 21 NOVA posted it to their MEC facebook page. They said over 800+ applications this cycle.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
They said it would be mid-October thru early November. There will be no other updates until the put out the accept/denied emails (at least that's how it worked last session).- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
What is Masoncore? I plan to get my RN thru nova and transfer to Mason to finish my BSN. Can I not do that without taking other Mason Core classes? I think I need to talk to a counselor but not sure where to start (if it matters, I have all pre-reqs and co-reqs completed with all As but one B in General Pharmacology.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
It would be nice to have the decisions come out before NOVA opens up the registration for the Spring so we know whether we are in the program and taking nursing classes or need to sign up for other classes.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
You have done everything you can do. If you don't get in, I think it would be because they had more than 100 applications like yours. The question remains, how do they determine who gets in at that point? Do they draw names out of a hat (just kidding, but seriously, how?)- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
What other classes are there if we have all 4 coreqs done? The only thing I have left are the nursing classes.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
I'm in the same situation as you. All A's and 4 coreqs completed (with all As but I know they don't look at the grades, only completed). I think the question came up last cycle about how they rank people if they have more applicants with all requirements but it was never answered. I think something needs to change if the TEAS keep getting waived. At this point with 800+ applicants for 80-100 slots (last cycle only took 60) I will never get in!- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
800+ applicants....feeling so low right now. If this keeps up (waiving the TEAS), they really really need to change the requirements. 800 is just insane.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
For those with all 4 co-reqs completed…have you thought ahead to what you will do for Spring semester if you do not get into the program? I have As in PSY and BIO 141 and currently 3 co-reqs completed. I am hoping this will be enough to get me in, but I'm not hopeful. I am taking the 4th co-req now in the Fall so I don’t want to sit out a semester without any classes to take. Can we start taking BSN level classes at NOVA that will transfer to say, GMU?- NVCC Fall 2020
- NVCC Fall 2020
I have heard people with As in Bio and Psy and all 4/4 co-reqs completed did not get in. I would venture to say getting in without any co-reqs done is impossible, especially these times with TEAS being waived. I had As in Bio and Psy and 3/4 co-reqs completed and live in the preferred county and did not get in.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
Hello! Just for some clarification, since the TEAS is waived, we only have to attach a high school transcript correct? Or you can have your high school transcript on file at the school and you don't need to attach it (I would just verify that the school does have it)- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
I would also like to know what the deciding factor is who makes it in. If they have 100 slots open, and 200 people have As in Bio and Psy, plus all 4/4 coreqs completed, how do they decide? What is the next factor? Do they draw names out of hat? Go alphabetically? There has to be another level to factor in.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
I think the conflicting information is on the NOVA page, it says TEAS are waived, but we were also told that on July 17th we would be officially told the status of the TEAS test for the Spring 2021.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
It says Spring 2020 in the yellow box, not Spring 2021....unless that’s a typo.- Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
So if TEAS are required for the Spring, when will the testing centers reopen? Will we have time to take them by the September deadline? I would like to use all three opportunities to improve my scores (only took it once before everything closed in March) I wish consistent information would be given out. Seems a bit disorganized.- NVCC Fall 2020

So I keep seeing "completed" co-reqs...does this mean your grade in the co-reqs doesn't matter, just that you completed the class? For the Spring I will have 3 out of 4 co-reqs completed with all A's, A's in Bio 141 and PSY with a 3.8 cum GPA. Since Summer term already started I can't take my final co-req since it isn't offered. So basically I feel like I"m screwed in applying for the Spring because without TEAS scores we're in the same boat as fall where the 4/4 co-req people will get in. - Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Spring 2021
