Hey Panda123, If I read correctly you are at Swedish?? Congrats on the new job! but NurseLex27 and I are working at St Joes in Tacoma and started our residency this week so that's how we have our schedule ?

Can’t wait to meet you too!! I’m gonna been on Mom-Baby Monday and Wednesday and got done with on boarding! Where are you gonna be?? I’m scared too, but excited to start learning :)

Residency classes start on March 2nd for me too! They called me yesterday to set up going into HR next week on Wednesday for badges/etc , and apparently a bunch of NEO in between! I’m excited and getting nervous at the same time time lol

NurseRed79 I interviewed with the First Hill NICU last week and have not heard back, even though I am not taking the job if they offer it to me since I already accepted one last Friday. It may be taking longer because of the strikes!

NurseLex27 yes!! Nights! ? I can’t wait either!!! I’m so happy we found NICU jobs! The management was the nicest people I have interviewed with!

Update: I interviewed for St.Joseph’s NICU yesterday and have received my offer this morning!

That’s amazing!! I’m excited to go there tomorrow since it’s high on my list! I also interview at Swedish NICU on Thursday, and St. Francis Special Care Nursery on next Tuesday. Was it more of behavioral questions at St Joes?

Nurselex27 I’m sorry, I unfortunately had a similar experience with Mary Bridge ED... I prepared a lot as well, and they seemed very engaged and saying “great response” “great question”, and afterwards they told me to contact my references for a reference check but ended up never doing that.. it’s so competitive, but we have to keep fighting!! I got some great feedback and mentoring from the manager after the second time interviewing and being rejected. But with Multicare they have both new grads and seasoned nurses who are applying for new specialties. Don’t beat yourself up too much! Keep at it, the process is tough/long but so worth it in the end!

Nurselex27 I was hoping for first hill, and thanks! I wish you all the luck as well! I also applied to multicare as well, but ended up interviewing for peds ED and waiting for peds med/surg to contact me hopefully for their March cohort. I ended up with a rejection from peds ED after interviewing for the second time, but I have been in contact with their nurse manager since the rejection who has been helping me out. I ended up not applying to TG NICU this time because during their Nov cohort they decided to not hire anyone and was scared of that happening again. But definitely don’t give up! I’m rooting for you as well!!

Nurselex27 Good to know! I’m going to contact NICU hopefully as well, because it’s also where my passion is too!

This is also what has happened! That’s how I noticed I had L&D for an interview and and not NICU which is my number one that was suppose to be updated Nurselex27 Did you end up getting an interview with NICU as well?

Hi! I also applied to the Swedish March cohort and I got the email about being contacted to interview in 2-4 weeks for L&D. That was on December 3rd... and I haven’t heard anything. I also tried emailing back recruiters who literally won’t reply. It seems like a lot of you also have had this problem? This process seems to all be a mess.. when I first applied and did my online interview, Peds and NICU (my preferred 2) wasn’t even an option and they added 2 days after I did my online interview. Also kinda angry because the recruiter said he would update my app because of that happening, but obviously didn’t. ?
