  1. Hey, nothing on my end yet. I have two other classmates who interviewed in medicine 2 as well and also haven't heard anything.
  2. Nope, I have not. I'm wondering if it'll be tomorrow?
  3. Best of luck to you as well! I understand where you are coming from - I too am shooting for a career in critical care. I am optimistic about the mobility as well as the learning environment in the AAUs, though I would prefer to start in ICU too. I 100% feel you. Yes, I am waiting for my ATT. The board said they're processing transcripts received 11/1 - 11/15. I have no yet set up a breeze account but that shall be my project in the next coming days. My school left us with no instruction so I'm forced to wing it - from what I understand as long as you create a breeze account before your transcripts get processed there should be no delay with your ATT/testing, but I could be wrong.
  4. Scratch that, I now see that in the interview link
  5. @bonuscat777 Thank you so much for that clarification! I received an invite for an interview for the medical 2 division as well but I saw no mention of AAU, did your invite specify that?
  6. Hey guys! I'm so happy you are considering SRJC - I am B semester student there. Unfortunately, on 4/3, our dean announced that semesters A-C will be cancelled and have to restart instruction in the fall. This really was a hard pill to swallow as we had completed our first rotations of the semester and received final grades for them. Unfortunately this also meant that the A students couldn't move forward, and thus we have no room to accept new students. I urge you all to not give up - the times are just unprecedented and insane. Best of luck to you all!
  7. We can apply up at the end of the 1st semester, at least for SSU. I used **** ****** at save a life cpr
  8. Hi everyone! **** just called me and offered me a spot in the fall cohort, and I was originally accepted for Spring 2020. That's one more spot! Congrats to those who have moved and good luck to those who are still waiting to hear!
  9. @kokokai they also only accept a handful of students too, but the good thing is that its 95% online so you can work while bridging.
  10. I want to do that too, but I worry bc the email she sent out specifically asks to not call or email. Idk how long that's in effect for.
  11. Thank you!!!!! ? they sent it to my main email that I put down on the app at 8:13am today
  12. OMG I GOT IN ??
  13. Yeah, last year was an exception bc they had less applications due to the fires. I'm betting on 6/1 ?
  14. Hey all! I'm anxiously awaiting too. I've noticed they typically send out notifications the 1st week of June (based on prior JC forums), even though their application says mid-June notifications. It's highly unlikely that they'll change to notify sooner, bc they've been doing June notifications for forever. I assume like one person goes thru every application. Best of luck everyone!!!
  15. No problem at all! I spoke with Grace and she said as soon as we are compliant, we get our course registration grid. Let's see, I did the Japanese language and global warming - those are the ones I remember. I am commuting from SR, and I plan on taking the smart train. Very cool, not too bad of a commute for you! I'm so excited, I cant wait to start!! ?
  16. Hi Carrie, Congratulations on getting in - I got in as well! From what I understand, each semester is broken up in half. I looked at the program pathway, and cross referenced with the course offerings for this Fall. From what I can tell, we'll have theory MTh and clinicals TuW, with Fridays off. MTh we're there from 8:30am-11:30 for theory, 12:30pm-2pm for lab (it's once a week, M or Th) with a pharmacology class Th from 5:10pm-7pm. Clinicals are mostly 6:30am-12:30pm, but one clinical section is 1:30pm-7:30pm. As for the second half, it looks pretty similar. Med Surg theory is MTh 8:10am-11:30am, clinical TuW 6:30am-12:30pm (and one section that is 1:30pm-7:30pm), and the same lab M or Th 12:30pm-2pm. Hopefully we'll get our course registration grids soon so we can know our personal schedules for the first half of the semester! I'm Amy! ?

@Rionoir Reimbursement programs?? Oh, sign me up!! I was thinking that hospitals would only pay for you if you were starting the program while simultaneously being employed by them/signing a contract.

@klp2006 I'm looking at a 2 hr commute to my ADN program, but thankfully there is public transportation I can take advantage of. I do live in CA, but I hear that the market is favorable to ADNs as well, per another ADN program I applied to. Yeah, the bridge program over here is ~11k...

@LadyLamp That's cool your program offered scholarships and financial aid - this program does not, and was a huge factor for me to deny my admission. I live in CA, hopefully the market stays strong for ADNs! Thank you so much, best of luck to you as well!

@ORoxyO That's the way to go!! That would be a dream to do. @BZ2SCS That's awesome! I'm definitely trying to do the same thing. Good luck to you as well!

@stockmanjr that packed clinical sounds terrifying. I think personally I would do better beginning with an ADN program. @araew2129 thank you so much for your input!! I would certainly be interested in an ADN-MSN down the road, and would much rather pay for that rather than these crammed courses. I thought it was a bit far-fetched to pay 40k for a BSN, not even an advanced degree. I fully agree that I would be a safer nurse after taking an ADN program and that in itself is enough for me to choose the ADN program. @Nurse Pompom awesome advice!! I'll certainly look into that certificate. Ideally, I'd like to enroll in a bridge program immediately after my ADN program as I start to work ? thank you!! @CamMc hey, that sounds like a smart plan! I too am potentially interested in an ADN-BSN program down the road. The more I look at it, the more I want an ADN first. Good luck to you!!

WOW that's an insane difference. I'm also hearing that getting your ADN first as opposed to straight BSN gives you more clinical experience and a really good foundation to build the BSN on. Thank you so much for.your input!

Hello! Thank you so much for your reply. That's an excellent thing to ask the ADN program- where their new grads get hired. I completely agree about being able to work while earning the BSN... my program offers a bridge program with a local university that is mostly online, which opens up the possibility of earning it while working. I'm also wondering if the fact that I have a BS already gives me a slight edge in hiring if I had just an ADN. Oh man, so much to think about!!

Hello all, I was recently accepted into 2 programs - one an ABSN program and another a ADN program. The ABSN program will run me approximately 60k for relocating and tuition, while the ADN program will be under 10k and I can live at home. The ABSN program is 15 months, while the ADN program is obviously 2 years. I am torn as to what to do - I definitely want to get a BSN, but I'm taken aback by the price tag for the ABSN program. The nurses I know in person tell me the BSN doesnt matter as much as people stress online, but I just worry I won't find employment without one. Of course, I've heard of those with BSNs who still had difficulty finding employment. If you were in my shoes, what would you do? Thanks for reading ?
  25. Best of luck everyone!! ?
