I haven’t heard back from newnurse but I’ll let you know what he says once I hear from him. I also read your post about the petty theft incident and I don’t see why you shouldn’t try to apply to the university and technical schools concurrently, it’s worth a shot imo. Worst case scenario is they say no and maybe you could contact the institutions or a lawyer and see what you can do from there. Some of the members on here, who have committed crimes much more serious than yours, have been admitted to nursing programs, were allowed to sit and take the nclex, and received their state license without any restrictions. But that doesn’t seem to be the case for everyone across the board. If it makes you feel any better, I have a handful of serious felonies as a juvenile and a few misdemeanors as an adult, all of which have been sealed or dismissed, but I still plan on applying to nursing school after completing my pre reqs. Imo, i figure my chances are slim to none, but I rather keep on the path until I’m completely at a dead end. In any case, I hope everything works out for you.
