  1. As a Rn with 7 years sober i had to go through a peogram with the nursing board that lasted 4 years. That was 3 years ago and my license has no marks on it yet i still inform potential employers of my history ( i have a gap in my employment history that is usually where I can lead into the topic) i am active in AA, working a spiritual program, I have a sponsor and sponsor two other women. As a part of my sobriety i feel it is important to inform in a condensed way, not going into a long story. I have found that employers are very receptive and appreciate the honesty. I think it is a good sign that the gave you a tour. Good luck!
