Not sure, that's just what they mentioned. It was a little strange to me too because the program wasn't even accredited until earlier this year.

They said in the webinar they have around 300 applicants already. Someone also asked if they would waive the stats requirement or if it could be a class in progress prior to matriculation but they were adamant it had to be finished by the March deadline. Not sure how it'll go for them as I'm sure applicants meeting their requirement would most likely also apply for the other Texas schools especially since they've all been around for much longer with established first time past rates/attrition rates.

Yea the newest program yet most restrictive requirements out of all the other Texas schools to include Baylor and UT Houston

Same here, was considering applying but considering they just opened their application a few months ago with a deadline in March, not reasonable to meet all their requirements for this cycle by March. It would've been more realistic to complete their pre-req classes if it had been by matriculation.

I received it the day before my scheduled zoom interview.

Did you receive an email regarding a portal update? Or did you just see a change on your portal.

Just received an interview invite yesterday

Hey I don't work there but I did travel contracts through DFW and currently staff at another hospital in the area. They tend to offer the lowest pay comparatively to Baylor/THR/Methodist in the area, teaching hospital, but they do have a great health insurance plan from what other nurses mentioned. I know they work closely with Parkland as a majority of their physicians and residents cover both hospitals

Hi for those of you that received the interview invite, did you receive additional information as far as time yet? In the original interview invite email they said they would send more information last week ,but I haven't heard anything yet.

I am a new grad nurse come this May and will be commissioning into the Army Nurse Corps. I'm currently finalizing my assignment wish list. I just wanted to hear inputs on the following bases/locations for a new nurse. I am also originally from Dallas. My goal is eventually to transition into ICU-->CRNA school, however the first 1 1/2-2 years for a new nurse in the Army is Med surg I believe. In order of my preference so far: - Ft. Sam Houston, Tx -TAMC, HI -Ft. Lewis, Wa -Ft. Bliss, Tx -WRAMC, DC -Ft. Hood, Tx -Ft. Bragg, NC -Ft. Belvoir, VA -Ft. Gordon, GA Thanks for your inputs!
