  1. If anyone is interested in buying used school uniforms let me know. I only used them for two weeks. They are size small. I have two tops with zipper in the front and two cargo pants. Oh, and also two of the black long-sleeve shirts with the school's logo.
  2. I also had a terrible experience that forced me to drop from my previous nursing program so I totally understand how that makes you feel, especially when you put too much work into it, time, money and you are not able to graduate as an RN as planned. Hang in there, I went from being an alternate to getting a spot two weeks before school started for me. I wish you get a spot as well so you can start your journey again in nursing and accomplish your goals!
  3. Thank you! I did not count my points because I submitted my application last minute.. I have B's in my science classes, the rest of my classes I have A's for the most part & I got 83.3% on my TEAS test. I am bilingual, I have my IV certification, and I worked while taking my prerequisites. Good luck to your husband! Keep your hopes up ??
  4. Thank you so much! I remember you telling me not to get discouraged because I was an alternate, and you were right. Can't wait to graduate like you next year. Congrats on completing successfully nursing school! ?
  5. Lol that's because you are such a nice person! I do not know you either but I will be very happy to know you get a spot at SWC, too! You deserve it. Thank you so much ? Please keep me posted and good luck to you, too!!
  6. Update: I got in!!! Thank you for wishing the best for me ? I really hope you get a spot in the nursing program and get notified soon!! I know how stressful can be being an alternate. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!
  7. Yes, on the 3rd this month.
  8. Thanks! I am an alternate to the LVN step up. I hope I get good news tomorrow. Are you an alternate?
  9. LOL I am a girl. Thank you! Yes, I am a step up. I am wishing the best for both of us! I'll keep you posted regardless of what they say tomorrow. Have fun at orientation tomorrow ?
  10. I got a call and could not answer because I was at work... When I called back no one answered and I was not able to leave a voicemail ? I am so nervous! They left a voicemail saying they will try calling again tomorrow. Are alternates attending orientation tomorrow as well?
  11. No worries! I was thinking you perhaps knew since I imagine some step-ups joined your cohort on the second year. I guess I will wait to see if amy step-up alternates post on here if they are offered a spot. Thank you both @W12 and @Caligirl85
  12. Do you remember when step-ups alternates got emails for a spot?
  13. Thanks for the info and congrats on graduating next week! ? Were you and/or your sister able to work while attending school during the evening? What was your schedule like for the second year, in regards to clinical rotations and lecture?
  14. How does cross enrolling affect/benefit your financial aid?
  15. For those of you receiving phone calls to turn in paperwork, is it from the nursing office's phone number? Do they leave you a voicemail or do they send you an email about it if you don't answer their call?
  16. Hi, thank you for this info! Do you know if step-ups are also given the option to fill out a card to chose their preferred schedule? Also, do you happen to know the schedule for days vs. weekend/evenings?
  17. It is so nice to hear it all worked out for you! ? Thank you for sharing your story with me and telling me about all alternates in your cohort getting in- It gives me hope. I'll for sure stick it out.
  18. Thank you! I honestly did not count my points before I submitted my application because I did it last minute, but I can tell you I have all B's in my science classes, the rest of my classes I have A's for the most part, 83.3% on my TEAS test, I am bilingual, I have my LVN license and IV certification, and I worked while taking my prerequisites. Good luck! I hope you receive an email soon.
  19. I am doing LVN to RN Step up. Good luck! I hope you get in.
  20. This is great news. Thank you for letting me know and for lifting my spirits!!!
  21. Congrats to all of you who got a spot already! I've been chosen as an alternate student
  22. Right, the last one was confusing. I was told last year they accepted 10 LVN's... I am not sure how many spots they will have available this year ?
  23. I think I did alright. The Calculation Test was easier than I had expected, especially since there were many of us and not so many spots available. What about you?
  24. Thank you for letting me know. Good luck to you and everyone else!
