Do you have the current Mosby's Nursing Skills book?
This is for work. Can someone just let me know what the recommendation is for how many times to cleanse the catheter site each day?

Do you have the current Mosby's Nursing Skills book?
I would like someone to look up urinary indwelling catheter maintenance for me and respond to me with what exactly it says as to how often to clean the meatus while a patient has an indwelling urinary catheter in. I would VERY much appreciate it, I do not have access unless I am at work and I am working on a project this weekend. Thanks in advance!

Back pain and body fatigue in OR versus Med-surg
Working med-surg I would get low back pain. Now in OR, I get upper back pain and head/neck pain. It's same pain, different places because of different repetitive movement.

How much do OR Nurses make?
Depends on length of being nurse in the hospital.

Feed back requested
I am an Or nurse who does hemi's occasionally (because we have a huge orthopedic specialty group and I am in general surgery). What our reps did was hang a laminated walk through on the inside of the hemi cart. So, we can bring the cart in the room and swing open the door for the scrubs/surgeons. Also, knowing where back up supply of sizes are if needed. Having the reps number readily available too! These little things have made a big difference when on call at night with a scrub who doesn't necessarily do it all the time....not to mention a surgeon. Hope this helps.

bachelors or masters?
I hear on the East coast most people have a bachelor's degree, but here on the West coast it's about 50/50 ADN and BSN. We all make the same and have the same opportunity for all jobs (except for public nursing and some school nursing jobs require a BSN). An oncology nurse job is easy to get as long as they want to train you.
