I am the same way, I applied to two schools and got denied from one so I am really hopeful JU works out. hopefully the week will go by fast!!! I think they will look at the interview heavily and then the essay and then the admission material like application and references next. But I can’t remember exactly what they said they look at in detail. Fingers crossed ??

Hey I remember reading this post awhile ago! I am wondering are you still planning on carpooling. I can tell you from experience and from students in the program it’s a really bad decision to go back and forth between the two areas. The program is extensive and you will have classes starting at 7 and not end until 5 give or take. I’m not telling you not to go!!! If you can do I give you a ton of credit! but I did one class at uf once a week and drove from Jax to gainesville and it was awful for just that one class I couldnt imagine doing it for an accelerated BSN.

I believe my interview went well. I was nervous for the first 2 questions but after that I felt confident. But in those you never know. you could feel like you did great and it was awful or vis versa. I thought the essay could have gone so many different ways. I think they just wanted to see if you knew anything about healthcare today in the US. I currently work in an ER so it was easy for me to think of two topics but for anyone who doesn’t work in health care it was probably hard. I don’t think the essay ways that’s much. I think what really matters was the interview and how you are in group setting and around new people because that’s basically was nursing is. Between patients, doctors, pas, and other nurses you are constantly interacting with others. I’m hopefully to hear good news on Friday but you never know. What did you think of the interview and essay?

Your spot won’t be taken, you’ve been chosen so they won’t give away your spot. They just say to do it as soon as possible so they can off spots to waitlist or petition students. But they won’t offer those available spots til after the deadline. ?

Jax doesn’t have an official campus. The classes are taught at the hospital. If you are looking for an apartment look at riverside or river city. Spring field is up and coming but still has it’s occassional car break ins

I know they have had problems in the past. hopefully that is the only problem, but they havent even sent out denials either.

Hello ufgatorjax. How did your petition process work? Who did you speak with? How did you turn it in? I did the petition with Kenneth through the registrar office because that's what I was directed to do. Kenneth had to write a piece of the petition for me. But my petition status status. "The decision on your petition has been deferred. Student Petitions Committee does not have the authority to grant your request. Please contact your academic advisor." Did yours say the same? Any advice? Thank you in advance!

Hello m.whitelaw, what petition did Kenneth have you fill out?? I was sent the college petition through registrar and the comments "The decision on your petition has been deferred. Student Petitions Committee does not have the authority to grant your request. Please contact your academic advisor" Did your petition did the same thing? Did you get into contact with anyone other than Kenneth about appealing or petitioning?

Hello did you receive a declined letter before you met with Kenneth? Did you take a personality test? I have met with Kenneth and he has begun to help me petition but I am looking for some advice from previous students. Did you end up getting accepted?
