  1. They emailed an attachment like 20 minutes ago.
  2. So, I haven’t been on this forum because I decided to attend Rutgers NB’s program when they offered me a spot back in February for the Summer 2019 term. When I was offered a spot at Rutgers I only had the essay portion left of the NJCU application and I didn’t submit the application because my parents told me to go to Rutgers since that’s my alma mater anyways. I woke up this morning and got an acceptance letter to NJCU which I’m not sure is a fluke or not because I didn’t submit the application.. I am going to decline because I’m starting school in a couple weeks. It’s so weird to me that even happened, I was wondering why I was still getting emails from them when I didn’t finish the application. I am hoping by declining, one of you are offered a spot. Best of luck, I don’t want to take up a spot that you guys have been fighting for.
  3. I can see the term bill fine. Maybe try a different browser? also, how is everyone paying for the tuition? Did FAFSA give you any loans or is anyone paying with private loans?
  4. I’m going to the NB campus for the program and keep getting emailed the Newark Facebook link lol. I can try to find it in my email and send it to you if you’d like.
  5. Oh no lmaoooo just stating that because some people were afraid since they didn’t get an e-mail, so I was just reassuring that there shouldn’t be anything wrong with their application because I was sent the email without even submitting it lmao my bad!
  6. I didn’t even finish the NJCU application because I’m going to another school and I received the email lol
  7. Yes you’re allowed to dorm.
  8. I’m so sorry to hear that. Did you apply to other schools as well?
  9. What have you tried? I’m looking into housing as well but haven’t looked too deep into it yet.
  10. I know the Rutgers’ program ranks higher overall as opposed to NJCU’s program, but I think at the end of the day, you’ll be fine with whichever program you choose. I know with Rutgers you get more breaks (Spring break, Winter break, small Summer break). NJCU is 12 months long so I’m assuming classes might be a bit more intense due to the short duration/lack of breaks. But I think either school is a good decision. Both were my top two, but decided to commit to Rutgers NB since that is my alma mater and I didn’t want to wait for NJCU because it wasn’t guaranteed I was getting in.
  11. Oh and also, what’s your advise on traveling/parking since the classes are downtown?
  12. How are the classes you’re taking currently? I heard pathophysiology sucks lol. Could you give a breakdown on how you feel about each class you’re taking this semester (in terms of difficulty etc). Trying to prepare for the summer semester but I’m nervous lol
  13. That I am not sure! I actually accepted the admission offer for NB last night so hopefully they’ll go over that information in April during orientation. And you’re welcome btw!
  14. I heard this program doesn’t reply back until sometime in April.. to be safe I would accept Rutgers’ admission offer because there is still that chance NJCU could deny, and you don’t want to be out of luck. Either way, you’re on your way to becoming a nurse! Congrats ?
  15. If you were a previous Rutgers student I’d go on course schedule planner with your login info and look at the courses they have for nursing students in the summer. Some sections are only for ABSN students so look at those ones in particular.
  16. That’s what it’s looking like honestly based on the posts. I think all decisions should be out by early March, so hang in there! Hope you get in!
  17. You might want to check your spam because that’s where my first email went to. It was from [email protected] and the email was sent by the associate director of admissions. Second email was from a woman named Barbara and that showed up in my regular inbox. Also I got an email as well as an update in status on the application page. Again, I did the reenrollment application so perhaps that was updated before the applications for outside students.
  18. There was a personal statement portion? When I applied it seemed like Rutgers only asked for grades/transcripts.
  19. Hey Amy, This is off the top of my head. Let me know if I’m missing a pre requisite course. Anatomy and Physiology I (with Lab): A Anatomy and Physiology II (with Lab): A Developmental Psychology: A Nutrition: A Statistics: B General Chemistry 2: B (repeated this course. I got a D the first semester. Also had a B+ in the lab) Microbiology: C Microbiology Lab: B I was a Public Health Major (graduated May 2018) and had a 3.5 GPA.
  20. I received my acceptance via e-mail yesterday as well. I previously attended Rutgers NB so I reenrolled and was accepted into NB for this summer. I submitted the application mid December and the transcript I had from county college (took anatomy there) was sent over early January. Obviously they had my RU transcript already since I’m an alum lol. Any other questions let me know (stats, etc).
  21. Congrats on the score! ? We are in a similar position. I was accepted into Rutgers NB’s Summer ABSN as well (just found out today) but also want to hear back from NJCU. I just have the essay portion left as well. Family thinks I should return to RU due to familiarity with the campus and also a place to possibly stay (sister attends the medical school in Piscataway). But because I prepped this hard for NJCU’s application, I’d still like to hear back lol.
  22. Hi all! I’ve been looking through this forum for awhile and decided to finally make an account. I live in NJ and I’m looking to start an accelerated BSN program this year. I applied to four programs, but NJCU is my top choice. Do you think with my stats I’d possibly have a chance? I know this program is very competitive, but I’m praying that I’m accepted (along with you all!). I went to Rutgers New Brunswick for undergrad (Public Health Major) and graduated with a 3.5 GPA in May 2018. I believe my pre-req GPA is ~3.4, because I got a C in microbiology lecture but a B in the lab during undergrad. However I received an A in A&P I and II and Developmental Psychology, and a B in Statistics. I also have nearly 3 years of patient care experience (I was a medical scribe for 2+ years and currently work for Summit Medical Group). I have letters of recommendation from a nurse practitioner I used to scribe for and my old professor/internship advisor. I also took the HESI yesterday and scored a 91. All I have to do now is complete the essay portion which I’m trying to get done soon since the deadline is soon approaching. I’ve seen people with great stats on this forum get denied, and I’m just wondering if I have any chance of getting in? I’m trying to remain hopeful. Thanks!
