I just got an email for an interview for adult ICU at Santa Monica. I'm an internal applicant!

Is this for SM or reagan?

I applied to the BSN program. I believe if you have your LVN then it waves 1-2 classes that you'd have to take otherwise. At least that's how it is at CSULB so I assume it's the same at LA (not 100% sure tho).

The process actually wasn't all that bad. The deadline just was alot earlier than all other schools. I'm not sure if 40% is the minimum but even if it were I doubt that would be a competitive enough score to get in. I had an 80% on my teas. This year they didn't go by a point system, they said they did a full comprehensive review of all applicants. I think this worked in my favor because I have a bad transcript from like 5 years ago that brought my cumulative gpa from a 4.0 to a 2.9 so my points in that area wouldnt have been so high. . . but definitely apply! They accept 70ppl a year apposed to what most schools take (about 40) so your chances are a bit better. I wish you all the best ?

Yes I paid the $70

It will let you select your orientation date, but if you dont pay the fee your spot will not be saved and you won't be able to register for classes when the time comes. You have until June 1st.

Hey the email says "Available dates are based on your major/college." So I believe we're unable to sign up because we're in the nursing program and will have our orientation with the nursing department on a specific two days. It wouldn't make sense for us to attend a regular orientation because I'm sure normal counselors won't be able to help us with scheduling our nursing classes. Earlier on this thread a CSULA student said they got an email that our orientation will be July 16 & 17. So I'm sure the nursing department will email us all eventually with the next steps. However, now that I think about it, maybe we'll have to attend 2 orientations. One for the school and for the SON. ?

does your status now say "complete"?

I'm a transfer and have not received anything else other than the initial acceptance letter earlier this month. My transcripts were received a week after I sent them (I sent them as soon as I got accepted) but I had a verification requirement also due that I literally just gave them today. They said it may take 24hrs to show as submitted on my GET account and I hope once it does my status will change from incomplete to complete.

For those who have been accepted... has any of you guys application turned back to yellow triangle saying incomplete?

Check the website. They only accept electronic from specific schools. So if you send it electronic and its from one of the schools not on the list it'll probably get thrown out. I was surprised to see that none of the 3 schools I attended were on the list.

When I talked to the school of nursing yesterday they said that they would not be sending out emails, and that the acceptance emails would be coming from admissions. So it's ok to celebrate, you're in! ?

I was told today from admissions that they're sending emails this week. I asked is it for sure this week and they said yes. Last year emails were sent the 17th of march and the year before was the 15th, so it's possible.

On the portal where it shows your admitted does anyone's say anything about a nursing major or just "UGRD Degree Programs"?

My due date shows as 4/12 as well.

Called the nursing department and the lady said she doesn't think our portal would say "admitted" unless we were accepted into the program but to call admissions to be sure. Called admissions and they said acceptance emails will be sent this week. The girl otp made it sound like if your portal says "admitted" then you should be getting an email confirming that you got in. However she didn't want to give me a for sure answer on that until the acceptance email was received.... Anyways, just be on the lookout guys ?
