money involved in becoming a crna
Most of the universities cost $35000 -45000 for the entire course , there are only handful universities offer part time it is not recommended . Total cost of CRNA school is much higher Living expenses vary state by state say 1500$ per month for 30 month =45000 , Loss of pay for 2 yrs is 60k x 2.5 = 150k Total cost would be =150k+45k+45k= 240 k approx (most of the students take loan from fed and private lenders ) There is big risk of not able to complete or being kicked out from the program about 15-20% enrolled students wont complete for various reasons, only few universities give an accurate count of how many student enrolled and percentage of completion , what they give is pass rate of the students who wrote certification examination . Another important point is you cannot transfer more than 3 credits to another university . AANA is a pathetic organization they dont support students as needed , they stand for as name implies certified nurse anesthetists and schools I assume schools pay them based on number of students . Yes if you get admission and make it salary scale is very good for crnas 110-150k range based on location. Good luck

Minority SRNA/CRNA's
students looking for crna schools be careful in interpreting the 100% pass rate in licensing test . This does't mean 100 % students in the class passes failure rate during the course is about 20 -30 % some people fail in theory and if you get a bad clinical site that is it . 100 % pass rate mean those who finish the theory and clinical training and take the board exam pass . Also remember AANA is not a organization think in student perspective there is no way you could trasfer the courses from one university to another .

Minority SRNA/CRNA's
Minority students be very careful about applying TWU in TX , this school may accept you to fill in their large class about 130 students! Number of minority students completing at TWU is very less. If the students happen to pass the front loaded 1 year theory (It is very very difficult to pass the torture of Dr R he is a ridiculas obstacle ) often this school fail students even for 1 mark shortage in exams you have to repeat whole first year ! not just that course if the school allow you to do that count 50,000 additional expense on this. Even if you pass few of the clinical sites associated with this school including the largest site nearer to school is very tough , instructors literally intimidate and harass and history of kicking out students even around completion , it is a no brainer for any crna aspirants to stay away from this school especially minorities .

SRNA with a problem, need some help fast!
I personaly know a student kicked out of the program in Tx shortage of one mark same time few other students in the same class got up to 5 grace marks ! CRNA director and the management is not fair to every one . we are talking about 1 mark vs investment of a student . Standards needs to be kept at the same time 70 % of CRNAs practicing are not masters qualified ! when you are in clinicals you will find out most of the things you learn in A&P is not that important in day to day work , many areas professor tought you old theories!

RRNA/SRNA clinical problems
I have completed my theory part of the course , 4 months in to the clinicals ,for difficult cases Iam not able to insert the intubation tube since I am a student if not successful in first attempt supervising CRNA or MDA will take over and insert themselves , that make me nervous next time . Also the overall attitude of some of the CRNAs and MDA are not that great (some of them are very good towards students ) Once a CRNA told me some time he insert the tube by experience with out seeing , also my left hand is not strong to lift heavy patients , any ideas to improve intubation skills , your thoughts ?
