  1. Thank you for the info! Is the newly admitted day a good day to do the in-person identity verification or should I just drive up to the campus one day to show my ID?
  2. Hi! This is my card that I had done through my job. We have to take the class and renew every 2 years. I know you can google AHA BLS CPR locations and find a class near you. Usually they're 1 day long.
  3. Is this (pic attached) the correct type of CPR that is needed? And does anyone know when we'll find out the in person orientation date? Thank y'all!
  4. Thanks for making the page! I am a military medic too!
  5. I got my acceptance email about 10 minutes ago!
  6. What is the transcript eval? I did not go to the info session so I am kind of lost. My "to-do" list on their portal still has transcripts pending because I am currently taking A&PII and microbiology. Once those grades are posted after finals next week, that finalized transcript will be sent to UTH.
  7. Have the UTH Fall acceptance letters/emails gone out yet?
  8. Hello. I didn't study for the biology portion sine my school didn't require it. I just "winged it" on the exam and did well. It was very general information that I had been taught over the years in school.
  9. My account status shows "overdue" for the transcripts from my in progress courses. "The To Do list item will continue to appear - if your transcript contains in-progress or future term coursework - if you indicated you were to complete a degree at the listed college and the degree is not yet posted on the transcript"
  10. If you have sent a transcript that includes classes currently in progress, you will continue to show due for those transcripts. I am finishing up my last 2 pre req classes now and still show transcripts as a "to do." I called the school and that's what they told me.
  11. Thank you! I enjoy Micro because it's interesting but right now there is so much pressure to do really well in it, so I think that decreases the enjoyment factor for me! ? I wish these schools did personal interviews instead of basing everything on paper. The difference between a 3.8 and a 4.0 student might come down to personality and past experiences which are WAY more important (in my opinion) than grades on paper.
  12. Hello, my date still says 15 March.
  13. It was very general and basic. It asked a lot about electron structure, the periodic table, oxidation/reduction. Like I said, I didn't study at all and just winged it but I do feel like me taking Chemistry last semester was really helpful.
  14. Hello! The chemistry section was actually pretty general and basic information. I STRUGGLED in chemistry last semester but I feel like taking it so recently really helped me on the HESI. Like I said, I didn't study for it at all and just winged it. It was asking about electron structure, basic periodic table info, etc.
  15. Hello! I applied for the Fall 2019 Pacesetter program as well. Just waiting to hear the answer. I took my HESI a couple of weeks ago. Math 96% A&P 96% Vocab & Knowledge 98% Grammar 96% Reading Comp 94% I have a 4.0 overall and science GPA right now. I am currently taking my last two pre-req classes (A&P2 and Micro). These are definitely not my favorite classes so my GPA may drop a bit! I have a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and have been a flight medic in the Air Force for 19 years. I have always wanted to go to nursing school but I always had to work full-time to pay the bills.
  16. Hello! I took my HESI last weekend and wanted to share some things that helped me pass it. I read a lot of entries here before I took it and found some advice from others to be very helpful. A little background on me: I have a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psych. I always wanted to go to nursing school but couldn't because I worked full-time. Now that my husband is working a good job, I am able to only work part-time. I have been a flight medic in the Air Force for the last 19 years and am planning on retiring in 2 years so now is a great time for me to start a new career! My HESI scores were as follows: Math 96% A&P 96% Vocab & Knowledge 98% Grammar 96% Reading Comp 94% I also took Chemistry and Biology even though they weren't required for my program of choice. I did NOT study at all for these sections: Chemistry 84% Biology 88% I feel like I over studied and overstressed. I was trying to balance studying for the HESI, my A&P II class, and my Micro class. I found the math on the HESI to not be too bad (I am AWFUL at math). It's basically 95% fractions and ratios. I was worried about the Grammar section asking things like "what is the simple predicate of this sentence" or "which word is the adjective." Surprisingly, it was not that detailed. Just focus on the basics: being able to make a proper sentence with the correct punctuation. A&P was pretty straightforward. It helps that I just took A&P I and am currently in A&P II. Again, this section was not super detailed. Just focus on broad, general knowledge. The "hardest" section for me was the Reading Comp because I took it last and was tired of looking at the screen. It was a lot of reading and re reading to find the info they were asking for. I did not study at all for this section. Let me know if I can help anyone!
