  1. Thank you so much for the encouragement. I luckily do have experience 13 1/2 years ED and PICU, along with hospice, home health and research. I’m just going to keep trying, luckily I found a job that didn’t care about my old baggage even if it isn’t exactly what I want to do. I’ve been through worse with recovery, and then the board, some more time interviewing and confessing my sins won’t get me down.
  2. I wasn’t pregnant but three months before my contract ended I had to have surgery for a benign brain tumor (I know I have great luck) I had to extend my contract 6 months because of the Valium and pain medications I had to take after surgery, this was in Colorado.
  3. I finished my monitoring in 2012, thank goodness! I just recieved a position at our local Children’s hospital that I have been working to get since November. 1 week before orientation I got a call from HR saying they were resending my offer because I had a past stipulation. I thought enough time had past and the last 7 years of job history one being in hospice where of course I have TONS of narcs would be enough to show I had learned my lesson and was successfully recovered but unfortunately not. We have a TON of HCA hospitals in my city so I will start looking there. Thanks for your feedback. Hopefully a i can get some feedback from some local RNs in Colorado so I can get a little hope back. I am definitely pretty discouraged now.
  4. Does anyone know what if any hospitals in Colorado will hire a nurse after a board stipulation? I had a stipulation from 2009-2012, completed everything and have worked numerous jobs since then with no issues. I would love to get back into the hospital and wonder if there are other nurses in my situation in Colorado and if you have had success? If you have what hospitals would be good to attempt? Thank you!
