Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019
Hi everyone, just wondering if I can get some input from you guys. So I got accepted into Yorks Second entry program. I met all the conditions except for one. I was required to take a certain course and obtain a grade of B or higher. I took the course this summer, but I recieved a D. I've already picked all my courses, obtained my ID, and etc. Do u guys think York will take away my acceptance, due to the one mark I recieved. I'm so scared!

Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019
Hi, sorry for the late reply. I'm kinda worry it may be included. The lady mentioned they will look at your last year, including your previous undergrad years to get a feel of the student academic stance.

Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019
Hi everyone, just wondering if there's any previous or current Yorku students that applied to Uoft and happens to have an NCR notation for a course? I spoke to the register office at Uoft, and the woman I spoke to, made me understand that the way NCR notation is noted on UofT transcript is a bit different from YorkU. Apparently if you attend UofT and receive an NCR notation for a course the grade does not appear next to it. But with YorkU there will be an NCR notation and the grade you received. I asked the woman will the grade be counted towards my gpa calculation, and she said "if they can see it, it will", even though the course is designed as NCR. Just wondering does anyone seem to know more about this or experience such thing, cause the woman I spoke to seem quite confuse. Thanks!!!

Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019
Hi Congratulations to everyone who has gotten they're acceptances. I wish all of you great success. And for those still waiting to hear back (like myself), we just have to hang on a bit tight. Will make it!! Quick question! Are courses designated with a no credit retain (NCR) counted towards GPA calculation for Uoft and York University? ( I don't think so, but I just want to clarify). Thanks!!!

Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019
Hey everyone!! Just a quick question in regards to UofT admission. When UofT looks at the last five (5) full-course equivalents, are they counting from Fall 2018 downwards (in order to reach 5 full-course equivalent= 30 credits)? Hope my question makes sense! Thanks!!!

I believe so, cause they still haven't received my casper results, and it takes about 3-4 weeks (I think) for schools to receive them.

Likewise, I did mine yesterday night.I was really feeling the pressure, but I think it went alright! No worries, I'm pretty sure everyone felt stress completing the CASPer Test. Thank God, that's over with!

Hmmm...... maybe you should contact the admissions office, but I think it would make sense that they take the winter term average only (I think). Also on UofT Admission requirements for Nursing. it states: To be eligible to enter the BScN program, applicants must have completed at least ten (10) university full-course equivalents prior to admission, with at least a mid-B (approximately 75% or 3.0 GPA) average in the final year of study, or the last five (5) full-course equivalents of their university education. Of the ten (10) courses, a maximum of six (6) courses can be at the 100-level. To clarify is 10 university full course equivalents is based on your last 60 credits (York University)? I'm a bit confused!

Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019
Hi everyone, Hope all is well! I'm currently in my last year of Health Studies at York University. I applied to the following school/programs: 1) York University - Second Entry 2) Uoft-BSCN 3) Nippissing University- SPP My gpa for the last two years is somewhere between 3.3-3.5 on a 4 point scale. I have volunteer/work experience in hospitals, research, developmental services, and non-profit organizations. I pray that I get accepted for the Fall 2019 intake. And I truly wish everyone good luck! I find it great that such forum exist where we can all have a discussion about the schools we applied too, anxiety (oh boi), and sharing our experiences.
