Wth, voting? This is not at all as is described online. I really wish there was more transparency and clear guidelines to this process. It makes me worried about how the actual program might be run.

Did she confirm they met? I don’t understand why they even have to meet. Put the applications in order by number of points and take the top 55!

The Fall schedule is out and there’s 55 seats in NUR 112. I’m so nervous!

I had 41. It’s confusing how they rank us though. The website says points only but then why does it take so long? Last year they did consider GPA to some degree. I know my overall GPA with transfer credits is lower but for just CVCC it’s 3.79. I just want to know when they’ll let us know!

Sigh. I guess today’s not the day.

Nothing. Last year she sent the emails around 7:30pm. I think it was all the acceptances then the denials.

This is the response I got From Heather on March 24. I’m not banking on hearing anything for a few more months.

Has anyone heard an update from them? I emailed Heather last week but haven’t gotten a response. I’m so afraid they won’t even begin reviewing until we go back (which I don’t think we will this semester).

I saw that. I still have 42 points and I pray that’s enough. I could retake the act for next year but not sure I can raise it more than 1, maybe 2 points.

I’ve got everything ready, just need them to release the new application. This is my last try, I’ll be 42 with 3 kids colleges to pay for in a few years so I can’t keep wasting time. I feel good about this year though. All prerequisites done for 10 points, 5 points for over 12 cvcc credits and 27 ACT points. If 42 points isn’t good enough then I’m going to try maybe radiology or surgical tech at CT or give up altogether.

So GPA was included in the selection process? Why does the application say it’s strictly based on points if that’s not true?! I’m pretty much screwed then because I transferred a ton of credits but only had a 2.6. My cvcc gpa is 3.5. This process has been so frustrating.

I didn’t get in. I pretty much expected that, I only had 30 points (26 points from ACT, 2 for a B in math and 2 for a B in English). After this semester I should get 3 more for an A in A&P and 5 for taking more than 12 credits at CVCC. I’m taking A&P2 over the summer so that will be another 2-3 more points. Next year I’ll reapply with 40-41 and I hope that enough. CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO GOT IN!!!!!

65 more minutes....she can’t possibly send out 160 emails in an hour. My guess is she’ll hit send on the two groups at 5:30 and get the heck outta there! That’s how the magnet acceptances were for high school.
