  1. Hi. Does anybody know if this college accept nursing credits from another college?
  2. Hi Breshya. The RN program controls your time pretty much. I wouldn't recommend working during the week because you will have alot to do. Also, they choose clinical days for you. You won't know until you start. You will have open labs to attend and some of them are mandatory.
  3. Hi Imanik, I'm in the day program
  4. I was posted in Northwest but it was canceled. We did a virtual clinical which was the worst thing ever.
  5. I'm currently in the Catonsville program 1st semester. We have finals next week. Tips for those of you going to Catonsville: First, you have the best professors. Ms Holland(fundumentals), and Ms Koshy( Health assessment). For funds, read your PowerPoint and you'll be fine. Her exams are based on her PowerPoint. Just fill out the study guide for each topic and read and re-read it. That's an easy A. Also, record her lectures and listen again. Don't wait till the last minute to do this.
  6. Double check the deadlines because may 1st is usually for the fall semester. Summer deadline was June 1st last year unless they changed it. I remember l had just finished Ap2 when l did my application around may 15th.
  7. Are you applying for the Summer or fall semester? Micro is not required for Lpn but will be required before you bridge to RN. When l applied, l had a C in Ap1 and B in Ap2. You have a high chance of getting in. The only time they won't take you is when you're missing a class or your TEAS, other than that, they take everybody.
  8. Hi Ashley. Yes l was accepted Last Summer but l withdrew. I'm in the RN program now.
  9. Ah! I see! I was confused with the other post. If you got 68 in reading then that's the reason why they denied you.
  10. If you passed reading then you should be able to get in regardless. I really don't know what exactly they look for. I wish they gave a reason for denial.
  11. Oh No!! I'm so sorry. Did you finish all required prerequisites? What about your teas? I'm just wondering because most Lpn applicants get approved.
  12. Congrats Shakira!! Hope to see you too!
  13. Wow! Congrats nursetati.. go for it!!? and good luck.
  14. Yes, you can still get a loan. I don't think they'll make a big deal out of it since you'll pay it back anyway. Thanks, l will fill out an application with them.
  15. Shakira, yeah! I've been having a hard time dealing my job( l work with an agency as a Cna) and I'm still freaking out because l need to get a stable job before l start. The program will be intense and l can only imagine looking for a job while in the program..
  16. I feel you..single parent as well. I can't wait to finish.. l need a break.
  17. My fafsa was actually meant for the RN program but l didn't get in. Anyway afew days later, l received an email from Md higher education board that l needed to accept or deny the Grant's they gave me. I accepted then l went to talk to someone at the financial aid office, she told me thst once l start the lpn program, l should write an email to fafsa and let them know that l will be taking less that 12 credits.
  18. I did the fafsa application, they gave me a grant of 2k. I'll probably pay the remaining out of pocket. I don't want to accumulate all these loans.
  19. I sure will..and good luck to both of you. By the way if you guys get in, orientation will be on the 23rd of August including our June intake. It will be in catonsville and it will include both Rn and Lpn students.
  20. Oh wow! I didn't even know the bridge has a deadline??. I need to find out about that.. if possible, I'll apply before the deadline and work before l get in. I will find out when l go back.. I'm glad l talked to you. I think it's good to go there physically and ask. Do not go to the regular advisors, they don't know much about nursing. Talk to Cheryl or Watson at the Stat building.
  21. The program will end in may next year.
  22. Actually it's not 6 months anymore. They changed to 500hrs which is about 3 months. My plan is to work in the summer after graduation and bridge in the fall. It's kinda tight but hope it works out.
  23. I did 2 applications but apparently it was just one. All you needed to do is to reach out to Cheryl who is in charge of Lpn and tell her that you are interested in the summer program. The whole program will cost about $5600, this includes everything you need for that program except maybe a laptop.
  24. Yeah, it's a new program. I got accepted, getting ready to start in 2 weeks.
  25. Not yet, I'm still waiting for an email about it. Will definitely let you know how it goes.
