@Cee1 where are you located ?
-
please help
@Joseph Matthews so since you registered with NYBON you should be using the NYBON "CLOSED PROGRAM" code.

please help
@Joseph Matthews So I just got off the phone with NYBON and they just confirmed what Pearson VUE told me.So what ever state you are registered in regardless of the state you went to school in you should be using the registered state's code. For instance, If you registered with Ohio you would use a "CLOSED PROGRAM" code for OHIO not Texas. Have you contacted your BON to see what their take on this is ?

please help
@klone I know you most likely didn't t mean to say anything to harm but speaking from someone who has seen many people pass NCLEX after taking it 8-9xs and even 7+ years after being out of nursing school I will kindly disagree with you. there nothing you can't do as long as you put you heart, mind and hard work into. I don't thing our fellow friend here needs to hear this negativity. Nothing is "unlikely" in the name of GOD.

please help
Hey there Joseph, I'm kind of in the same boat as you but not really. I graduated from a program in Florida but I am registered with NYBON, long story short my School closed its program and I just recently tried to register with Pearson vue only to find out that my school's code does not work and my school isn't listed at all. I called Pearsonvue and they informed me that since I was registered with NYBON they would give me a "CLOSED PROGRAM" code to test, when I entered the code it is for NY not FL. I was confused since I went to school in FL, I informed them that I went to school in FL but they said it doesn't matter as long as I'm registered with NYBON that I would have to use that NY "CLOSED PROGRAM" code not a Florida "CLOSED PROGRAM" code. I share this just to say maybe it was a mistake that they gave you a school code for TX and not the state your registered in. I will be reaching out to NYBON just to double check this information and will keep you update. I will keep you in my prayers because going to school again for something as difficult as nursing and actually complete it is a great accomplishment and one of the hardest besides slaying the NCLEX Beast. In gods name you won't have to go though that again.

Is there any hope for me at this point?
@DW12 and anyone who needs to hear this !!!! You should not give up. I've had family members who graduated in other countries came to the U.S. after many years and sat for NCLEX and passed. And when I say "many years" I mean 8-9 years and they still managed to pass. I've had friends who graduated when I started my nursing program and just now passed after taking it 4-5 times. I have a friend that actually took it 8 times and passed .... ON THEIR 8TH TIME, imagine the money that was spent ( It makes me dizzy just thinking about it) ! I'm telling you this because it is possible and there is no hurdle that you can't overcome as long as you put your all and heart into it. You can do this even with your horrible job. My best-friend was a single mother of two with two job during nursing school passing with the bare minimum and passed NCLEX on her second time. Take a day, sit down and make a schedule and tell yourself to stick to that schedule and don't let anything and I mean anything come between you and that schedule. I have a lot of material that was passed down to me by all my friends and family members who passed (Lacharity Questions, Hurst Review, Remar Review, Mark Klimek, Helen Feuer, Saunders Question and U World Notes) and i don't mind sharing at all. When ever your ready to start just send me your email and i will send them over. Good luck and I wish you all the luck on your Journey.
