  1. seems like only pcu 200 has been representing acute care in the fb group! the other acute care units are likely still notifying applicants of offers, hope this helps ?
  2. @kenzie1396 hoping for news soon too! just curious- which unit within acute care has 5 positions open?
  3. ahh, it's at least a little more reassuring to hear that there are others waiting on acute care decisions as well. there are a lot more units within acute care, but I wasn't expecting to have to wait this long :(( fingers crossed for decisions tomorrow! I also reached out to DL without any luck /:
  4. @Spangela RN congrats! was it a verbal offer from the unit or an official offer letter from HR? I'm getting angsty about acute care decisions!!
  5. @rolly it was grape colored scrubs as dress code for us, but it could change again! I heard it used to be grey for Summer iiis. dress code info should be in your onboarding paperwork somewhere! & yes, I lived at the housing provided because it was convenient and cost-effective!
  6. @newgradnurse0898 hi! I also applied for acute care and am getting anxious as well!! based on what was communicated during second interviews, it seems like decisions will be made at the end of this week.
  7. I got a notification from acute care today via text message and was scheduled a second interview!
  8. you could probably read more about it in previous threads, but they used to notify the top 100 applicants and let them rank their unit preferences. once those were submitted, they would match you to a unit and notify you of your acceptance. but I believe this time, you had to submit your unit preferences at the time of your initial application.
  9. I heard back about making it to the next round in January and final decisions were in mid feburary. the process is different this time around though, so I'm not sure if your timeline will be the same! my friends and I advocated for future Summer iii's to have a larger scope of practice, so they had to make changes to the program this year. & it was nice living in mn for a year! we planned a lot of weekend trips with each other to go to the cities, chicago for lolla and other fun activities as well! it was easy to meet other people because we all lived in the same building. coming from ca, it was definitely different weather than I was used to but I really enjoyed my time there last Summer!!
  10. hi friends! finally stumbled onto this thread today. I have an interview for acute care next week and am super nervous!! good luck to everyone (-:
  11. hi!! I was a Summer iii in 2020 & absolutely loved every minute of it! thought I would pay this thread a visit and pay it forward since previous Summer iii's were so helpful in my cohort's thread. let me know if there are any questions about the program and good luck!
  12. I got my email for my top choice, peds!! ? congrats everyone ?
  13. my only hope is they're sending letters in alphabetical order haha, what do your last names start with? (if you guys don't mind sharing!!)
  14. congrats you guys!! @jll9063b I'm in the same boat as you, we have to hold on and wait a little longer :C
  15. @nocostudentnurse no snow here in CA, stay safe and warm! all my classes are still virtual, so my eyes are glued to my email too haha
  16. this week sure is going by slow...
  17. Kudos to those who were selected as an alternate as getting this far into the selection process is an achievement in itself! Hope the odds are in your favor and you're able to make it in or have other opportunities lined up ♡cʕ•́ ᴥ •̀cʔ I guess that gives the rest of us a 50/50 chance of either being rejected or accepted, but I'm hoping for the latter!!
  18. @ToriSD I didn't get anything yet Do you know what # you are? I hope you're able to make your way in! Keeping my fingers crossed for you ?
  19. next week's the week though!! wonder if decisions are going to come right on Monday or a couple days after haha also, happy lunar new year to those who celebrate it! <33
  20. @nocostudentnurse rlly hope you're able to get something in the ICU!
  21. I did! I ranked based on the descriptions they gave us and personal interest. ? The inpatient general care was most difficult to rank because many of the subspecialties would just be on a general med surg floor at my local hospital.
  22. Just submitted mine and got confirmation! I didn't put any comments.
  23. I received an offer for La Crosse too, but it's my backup plan if I don't get into Summer III :C
  24. Ahhh late to the party! Congrats to everyone who got their emails today, hope we all make it to the final round!! I got my email at 8:51 am PST today and submitted my app the day before it was due. Sooo excited to be going through the list of placements later tonight. Now the anticipation for final decisions begin... HAHAHA OMG HI WHAT SEM ARE YOU IN LETS BE FRIENDS, IM IN SEM 5!!!
  25. Hi! I was invited to Open House for the program this Summer and I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about your experience. Chances of you seeing this are probably low, but I just wanted to shoot my shot!
