  1. So I am still waiting on orders. Boarded Oct 30, Commissioned Nov 19, and no word. How is everyone else? I'm glad we can post on here again! Missed yall ?
  2. I'm 66H Med Surg, reallllllyyyy hoping to get BAMC. How did assignments work out for your cohort? Where there many sent to Fort Sam as permanent duty station - caveat I know this depends on specialty / slots at the time. I'm just curious on the trend you observed. thanks! I'm a native San Antonian. :-)
  3. Wow , that seems an excessively long wait. I was told it is 30-60 days for RFO / Orders. Do you know what drew out your timeline? was it due to school seat avail, etc? Were you allowed to early report? Also ..if I may ask? What is the patient / Nurse ratio typically like on the Med Surg Floors at the big places like SAMMC, etc (I understand this is a dynamic number)
  4. hey Mich ,ask your recruiter about school programs / scholarships. There are a few out there and the ADSO (time commitment) i think is two years runs concurrent to time in service. I am not sure if that applies to reserve but worth asking. I am former active duty (Transportation / Logistics Officer) if you need any help with jargon , forms etc... send me a line. Congrats to you too! Do you guys go to Fort Sam for your initial training?
  5. I also applied for the Army October 30th Board for 66H (MedSurg RN) and heard I was a go last Thursday. Rumor mill has it that the packets are apparently reviewed and approved individually versus all results published at once via memo, etc. I am a 66H but very interested in the NP pathways. I started my graduate school prereqs when I did my BSN. They told me it will be about two weeks until an appointment memo is generated for commissioning, but I have also heard 30-60 days from another recruiter. We shall see. If I hear anything further I will certainly update this post. Best of luck!
