  1. @How2BecomeANurse.com Thanks though I did do all of those courses online in 2019 at once an accelerated A&P1 and 2 and Micro. I made great grades and got into a nursing program in the fall of 19. Unfortunately this semester I did not make it to my senior year. Pass or fail final, short 3 points in one class. COVID was terrible for nursing school. SUNY schools do not specify on your transcripts if they are online or not and colleges do not care usually care as long as they are accredited schools.
  2. Hi! Yes you can take online pre reqs! I did and got into clinton community college’s RN program. Just make sure they are SUNY stay in their network for less problems. Cayuga Community College offers AP1 and AP2 and Micro online. When they transfer they do not look like online classes because they are from a SUNY Community College, transferring them looks no different then if you had sat through the actual lecture in class. They all have labs. The AP course has a virtual lab where you do everything. The Micro may not work for you in SouthAmerica because the lab gets sent to you in a kit. But a girl in my class said she took a Micro where it was an online lab so there are options. Look at Open Suny, then call the program you are wanting to get into and make sure the course at the choice RN program accepts the credit. Most have articulation agreements throughout the SUNY network. Remember online courses do not mean easy. Always work ahead so if you have questions you can ask, usually it is back and forth by email. It may be more expensive if you are unable to do the residency, since you are out of the country. Hope this helps!
  3. So I should just stick with them seperataly? Or not take all 3 in one and a 1/2 semesters?
  4. Has anyone taken an online ap course and in school Micro same time? This next semester I was planning on taking Just AP1 Jan-March and AP2 March-June online 2 8 week courses. But I am currently in Biology 101 and everyone in my class is struggling with my current professor, and getting tutoring from the other biology teacher, doing much better with the tutoring. After talking with my current Gen Bio 1 teacher he said his micro class is really just an overview of the same subjects, but a bit deeper and many people take that class and do well without taking gen bio class. So I was thinking of doing his full micro 15 weeks next semester and the the 2 consecutive condensed APs online. (the ratings for these ap courses are pretty good) I do much better with online formatting. the reason for this is I want to apply for the nursing program and you have to apply by Feb. so being enrolled in those classes would be a bonus as to getting into the program. My logic is I have heard this specific program is very hard and has a low pass rate. So if I get the major sciences out of the way I can focus on just the nursing program. Has anyone else done something like this? I am currently taking Chem at the same time as Bio. and am doing very well with chem. Bio is a bit harder mainly because of the formatting of the tests.
