  1. Seems odd that NCC accreditation is at risk when NCC has been approved and starting a program with ESC for a bachelors degree. Doesn’t add up to me.
  2. Just got the email! There was a list of emails of other students so go check!
  3. Anyone get in who didnt complete biomedical ethics? Im in the middle of taking it now and im nervous that that may not take me cause of that
  4. Did it go to your nassau email or your regular email?
  5. What did you score on your TEAs if you don’t mind sharing.
  6. I applied last semester and didn't get in but my TEAs weren't great and I didn't finish micro. This is what I have english 1: A english 2: A- lifespan: A Psych: A Stats: B A&P1: A A&P2: A Micro: B TEAS Reading: 91.5% Math: 96.9% Science: 78.7% English: 79.2% I think that gives me 155.25 points. I really hope thats enough to get in this time around!
  7. everyone that is waiting, did you complete all the prereqs or still have some pending? maybe they divided it up that way?
  8. I hope we hear back tomorrow. It seems like we all have fairly decent scores, I guess it just depends on how the pool was this time around.
  9. I haven't received an email so I am assuming I didn't get in. I had either 138/133 points (I read contrasting things about how the teas points were distributed). I am in the middle of microbio and need to take bio medical ethics so hopefully after that and retaking my teas I will get in next semester.
  10. Does anyone know about what is going on with NCC nursing program in the fall? I have heard it will become a bachelors program but I wonder if they will require some different prereqs. I'd like to know before I register just in case I don't get into the program this semester so I can be prepared to apply for the fall, they should really have this info more public if this change is 100% happening fall 2019.
  11. I wouldn't be too worried about pool size, them taking a long time doesn't necessarily reflect a lot of applicants. It seems that these things take time/ they could just be telling you that they aren't done yet when they may be and just have to get the acceptance/rejection letters in order.
  12. how many points did you have last time you applied if you don't mind sharing?
  13. I have 8 classes finished. my GPA is a 3.77. 3.77x26(total # of credits)= 98.02 then add 10 for nassau resident, 5 for never being in a nursing program and 25 for TEAs score = 138.02, same as with adding the quality points up. double check your math, it should be the same.
  14. I think that could be right. If you do that then add the points for your teas/never being in a nursing program/nassau resident your score should be the same if you add it up the other way. I have 138 points when I do both methods. I am in the middle of micro and haven't taken medical ethics. I am very nervous that I won't get in even though I have all A's (including AP1 and AP2) besides 2 B's (each 3 credit courses).
  15. for those of you who have applied before, do you remember how many points you had? And if so would you mind sharing so we can gauge what they accept/deny.
  16. I wonder how the points work, like if a 140 from someone with less prereqs but better grades and a 140 from someone with more prereqs and less favorable grades are looked at the same way, does any one know?
  17. I have feel the same way many times. I am applying to nursing schools now and sometimes I wonder if I'm cut out. Not really worried about schooling but if I will be happy in this career. I always bring myself back to I like working with people. I can't get too carried away in details like a crazy day at a hospital where doctors will yell at me and I'll mess something major up. In all honesty, what helps me is that there are SO many options in nursing that we can all find something right for us.
  18. Heres a breakdown of my points A&P1: A A&P2: A PSY 101: A Lifespan: A English Comp 1: A English Comp 2: A- ART Elective: A HISTORY Elective: B Stat: B Nassau Resident & never been in a nursing program: 15 points Teas: 25 Points So I believe I have 149.25 points, but I saw on a previous thread that they only count one english comp, not sure if thats true. If it is then I have a 138 which I think is on the cusp so hopefully that isn't true.
