  1. Hey all, I figured I’d come back to let future hopefuls know, I was Accepted into AO! I have a 7.422 score (I was able to factor in a last minute class from my original post) AND I am partnered! However, I can’t stress enough get on top of your immunizations ASAP. They say on their Website that if you’re planning on applying to try and start working on your immunization stuff at least a year before you plan on submitting your application to make sure your shots are in order. http://www.uta.edu/conhi/students/imm-prelic/index.php A few people who were accepted last week have already had to give up their spots because of their immunizations being incomplete. It really sucks for them, but for those waitlisted, there’s Hope guys! They only gave us a week to submit all of our completed immunizations!
  2. I heard acceptance emails/notifications go out this Friday Sept. 6
  3. I'm not too sure about out of state, but I would email them at [email protected].
  4. ALL 4 Science GPA (AP I & II, Chem, Micro) + Overall GPA + 0.5 for any additional considerations. (Ex- 30+ hours at UTA, 12 Science hours at UTA, Previous Bachelors Degree, etc.) = Total Points https://www.uta.edu/conhi/_doc/unurs/CB-BSN-UD_admission-brochure.pdf
  5. From my understanding they only accept TEAS for new applicants. "Complete the Math, Science, Reading, English and Language Usage sections of the TEAS Exam. Applicants must score at minimum in the proficient range of 58.7% - 77.3% overall and in each section. The TEAS can be retaken every 30 days with a maximum of three (3) times in a year. TEAS scores are valid for two (2) years." - UTA Web page
  6. Hi! I'll be applying for Spring 2020 AO, as well. I have taken my TEAS and completed all of the requirements on the checklist. Now, just to apply and wait! I'm so excited to be getting that much closer! My only consideration is that I am partnered. Overall GPA: 3.655 Science GPA: 3.75 Total Points= 7.405 Fingers crossed I'll be good to go!
  7. Yes, from what I have heard, they do look at the GPA from when you apply because they look at the transcript you submit with it so they look at the grades that are finalized on your transcipt. And I think you have a really good chance at getting accepted with both your considerations and being partnered.. since they add up your GPAs and each considerations are .5 From past pools and and reading other forums advisors have mentioned that at an 8 or above you are in good shape for acceptance..
  8. Yes current UTA/TWU students always get preference points over trandferring students. And I've heard that too, as far as, the "partnered" goes. However, I am partnered and did email them and they sent me back an attachment email regarding what Hospitals are partnered and a bit more info on that too. The email made It seem that partnered and unpartnered applicants are place in 2 different applicant pools so, maybe the partnered/unpartnered are competing against their own pool? if that helps Here's what it said... "As stated on the AO BSN admission brochure, applicants must meet all application eligibility requirements and are ranked based on the criteria stated. Employment at a partner hospital is not a guarantee of admission into the upper-division AO BSN program. If your status changes from partnered to non-partnered, applicants will be moved to the un-partnered applicant pool and your ranking status is subject to change. If your partner hospital system status does change, contact UT Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation by e-mailing [email protected]." P.S. I did email them asking them more details on partnered vs. unpartnered I'll keep you guys posted. Hopefully, this may help someone else (not needing an Evening program) and just need more options to apply at different schools.
  9. Not sure about needing to withdraw, I would speak to an advisor to be for sure. And Don't feel discouraged about the partnered preference, if its anything like the other considerations than it's only worth 0.5 pts. Besides comparing the amt. of applicants they accept for traditional (about 160) vs Online (180) it pretty much evens out everyones' odds since preference is only given to the Online program.
  10. If you go to their website and look at the Virtual Online Info Session, In the video it states students can only apply to either Traditional or Online. Bummer for me because I was really looking forward to applying to both since, I am not at all convinced about doing it Online, but I do get preference for working at a partnered hospital for AO BSN.
  11. Hi everyone, I am also applying for Fall 2019 (still debating on Online vs. Traditional). Looking forward to this process with you guys and wishing everyone the best of luck. I have not taken the TEAS, yet. I'm planning to do it at the end of November. That way, if I don't score, as high as, I'd like I can retake late Dec. or early Jan. (I know at UTA TEAS scores aren't important when it comes to ranking but, I am also applying to TWU and with them TEAS scores really matter in their point system) Any pointers anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.
