He'll probably respond, but yeah, he got in, lives in Pinellas, and is on the way to graduating in May.

I believe you mean spring 2020, but congratulations! As somebody who started the same time as you this year, watch out for summer semester. It's a shortened term and can be quite exhausting.

I don't think I heard about that. Would you happen to have details?

SPC Spring 2019
I would like to go, but I'd already scheduled a trip out of state for that time.

Awesome! I guess we'll be seeing a lot of each other for the next year or so haha. A lot of the HCA facilities were much closer to me, but with the limited night choices I was pretty stoked to get a Baycare location, too.

I'm at Morton Plant nights which -- although not conveniently located -- was also my first choice. Neuzil is my instructor for afternoon theory and lectures.

I'm also a male. I have black hair. I own sandals but I'm not sure if they're invited yet.

Yeah it was pretty startling. I've scheduled a fingerprint for the 12th way out in Clearwater. Thankfully I have a week off coming up. I also get to experience the joy of a 6:30 AM pee test before work next week lol

I couldn't see the full details of the clinical sites on mobile. Given that I want to do nights, I'm definitely not going with VA or St Anthony's, it seems. Anyway, item one down -- of many, but this is stress I'm pretty stoked to have.

Congrats!!!

I'll be doing nights, but I have no idea about what clinical sites are recommended/not so much. Does anyone have any more information? I was leaning towards Bay Pines for first but I'm not sure about the "more intrusive background screening" warning. I'm not worried about passing it but I'm not sure how large a hassle it would be. I was also leaning towards St Anthony's second, due to location convenience, mostly.

I've been checking hourly since yesterday. Good luck to everyone!

Yeah I'm helping to support my older parents at the moment, so saving money wherever I can during nursing school is critical. I'm not sure if I can send pms here with the relative freshness of my account. I sent you a friend request as well, which might enable the feature. Otherwise my email is cedouglass and it's at gmail.com (not typing it out normally so it won't get scraped by bots).

I was actually thinking of getting one of those clipboards! I would be surprised if it was required, though. I'd be interested in buying the books from you, Holly, once I get notice of acceptance and a shopping list. :) We're definitely not the same scrub size though haha

I applied for spring '18 while still taking micro with lab. I don't recall my exact GPA, but it was in the ballpark of 3.65. I didn't make the alternates list. Spring' 18 was missing from the acceptance stats on the PowerPoint they used during the applicant seminar, but my application was equivalent to applying with a ~3.25 with all my credits done, so the result wasn't exactly a surprise. If you're just using your equivalent GPA with a 4.0, though, I'd say you have pretty good odds for spring.

Assuming that you've completed all 30 credits, you'd be at a 68 out of 70 possible points (the same as me!). One of the speakers indicated that 3.8+ was get your ducks in a row territory, because you're very likely to be selected.

Hey, y'all. I'm also an applicant for spring '19. Assuming that I understand how things are calculated, I'm applying with all my prereqs done and a 3.8; I'm a little confused as to whether the class that fulfills my "world view requirement" is included in the calculation if another, more recent and higher grade is available to fulfill the humanities criterion. If it's the less generous option, it's a 3.7. I failed to get in in spring 2018 while I was still completing micro, and didn't reapply until this upcoming term so I could better prepare myself financially. I'm sure some of you were also present at the seminar today. It did a lot to ease my anxieties about being accepted, but I doubt I'll be completely chill about it until I'm sitting at the orientation. Looking forward to celebrating about acceptance emails with you guys in about a month!
