Dang! So sorry to hear that! That’s very nerve wracking. I feel like OHSU is pretty on top of the organization and such with applications. And you’re welcome. I only applied to the FNP Fall 2022 start, but I believe ABSN - DNP get notified at the same time. I’d say they are pretty good about notifying within 2-3 weeks, once all interviews have been completed.

They didn’t finish interviews until 2/18. I was told early March. My guess is either this Friday or next Monday.

Congrats! Just know what you know and own it. They want students that understand the role and why they want that role compared to another DNP role. I do believe they cluster ABSN-DNP students together for the same 2 interview days since you all would start Fall 2023 and then the other students are clustered for the Fall 2022 start. But lots has changed with COVID.

Hi, Been watching this thread and figured I would join, but I only applied to the FNP program. It’s pretty common for them to notify in batches about a week before the given dates. Given the interviews are virtual, it wouldn’t surprise me if they sent out notifications tomorrow for the 3rd and 4th, then a week later for the other interview dates. The DNP programs interview for both Fall 2022 start prospective students and the Accbaccs that would start the DNP Fall 2023. A friend of mine was emailed her invite to interview 6 days before her given interview date. (Midwifery program) Hope this helps.

I will be accepting. I know there were at least 4 people out of the 15 in my interview session were interested in other schools if they were accepted to multiple places besides ohsu.

I got accepted to Portland, it still hasn’t hit me yet.

Right???? I have a feeling that it’s going to be Monday or Tuesday. Based on previous years, looks like notifications were sent out close to May 1

I don’t think they did. Portland won’t hear back until tomorrow (earlier) mostly likely next week.

Was this your first time interviewing with OHSU? The interview isn’t the only factor. Just remember that. My fingers are crossed for everyone. If we don’t get in. I’d love to do a mock interview with people next year. Build each other up. Ya know?

I feel really good! I made sure to take my time and full 2 minutes to speak. I was surprised people didn’t. I enjoyed the format. I appreciate the opportunity to do the essay because you get to say things you couldn’t or maybe forgot to say. I don’t view it as a competition. These people could possibly be your cohort. We need to lift and support each other. 3 years of family. We are all qualified. How do you feel??

From my understanding, Portland doesn’t do mock interviews? But I could be wrong.

Also. I volunteer at OHSU. And have given lectures/panel questions to the school of nursing and school of medicine.

I will say this. The minimum is a 3.0 they look at everything all together. For me. I have all my prereqs done, I have chemistry done, I have an associates degree and soon to have a bachelors of science in public health, I have 10,000+ hours of healthcare experience, I also have lived experience as a marginalized population of people, I’m an Oregon resident, and they look at essays GPA is not the all decider.

From what I know about Portland, the essay is typed and timed. I believe 1 hour for 3 questions.

The torture is real. I’m also get my bachelor of science in Public Health right now too.... It’s finals week.
