For sure! I was offered partial scholarship at University of Michigan!

I got my offer yesterday as well! I heard nothing about scholarships/financial aid, did anyone else? I am leaning towards a different program due to the terrifying cost of tuition at Hopkins.

I am looking for some input/feedback on choosing between University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins PNP programs. I have admission offers to both DNP programs and I'm very torn. Both programs set up clinicals for students and have great opportunities (Boston Childrens, St. Jude, CHOP, etc...). Mich is hybrid learning and acute care only while Hopkins is online and dual primary and acute care. The big kicker for me is tuition... Mich is about $25k/year while Hopkins is $55k/year. I've heard amazing things about both programs and I realize there is no wrong answer here but I am truly torn in making a decison! I would love ANY input on either program or post grad/hiring perspectives. For perspective - I hope to work in pediatric cardiology or PCICU as a PNP.

Yay congrats!! I got my acceptance today for the ACPNP DNP program today too! I haven’t heard about financial aid yet either but if you plan on working at Mott, you will get some tuition reimbursement after a year. We will also be Michigan residents after one year of living there and switch to in-state tuition!

Congrats! Fair warning - my interview was quite lengthy... nearly an hour and a half. I don't remember the exact questions but none of them were other than what you'd expect. Just have a good explanation for why DNP, why your specialty, and why JHU. You should know a bit about JHU's values - they did ask a bit about that and how I will fit into those. Basically just be able to explain why you're good for Hopkins and Hopkins is a good fit for you! Good luck!

Hi, yay! I have 4 years of experience in PCVICU.

I believe it was less than two weeks, but I did the Kira videos around the holidays so maybe you will hear sooner than that?

I applied for the Acute Care PNP DNP program, did the Kira videos, and then got an email from the lead faculty basically saying admissions already looked at my application and now the nursing faculty are reviewing my app. She told me to expect to hear back about a decision by March.

I work in the cardiac surgery ICU if you need any more insight!

As soon as I have CXR and ABG drawn, I get my patient turned to finish assessment and change sheets. So... 30 mins-ish after landing in CVICU?
