  1. I feel bad for everyone who did not recieve anything yet. I was in yalls position last semester waiting to hear if I got in for spring, then finding out I was waitlisted. It does suck but the months did go by super fast though. It does seem like there is a semester wait if you applied towards there somewhat deadline. I hope who is ever waiting for Valencia that y’all get in for fall, or get in to where ever you apply next!
  2. Just created the group for the people that got accepted into Valencia Summer program. Evening, West, or Osceola. It is under "Valencia College Nursing Class of Fall 2020" in Facebook.
  3. I am trying to create a group, but it wont let me create one until i add at least 1 person. Can some share the facebook with name with me.
  4. Has anyone set up a facebook group?
  5. I signed up for the bls in saint cloud since it closer to my house. It is 10 dollars more than Valencia but if anybody lives closer to Osceola campus they are AHA Approved.
  6. To everyone who did not get accepted yet, don't give up hope. Everyone who did get accepted only has a few days to accept or decline. Plus if you do not get accepted this summer, I encourage you to do the prereqs for your BSN over the summer. That way when you're done with nursing school you can go straight into the BSN nursing part.
  7. @Batsy I can’t wait!!
  8. I got mine!!!! Osceola daytime
  9. Congratulations!!, but i haven't received anything yet ? when did you apply? @twest893
  10. Well I do not think today is the day, hopefully next week.
  11. Atlas was down yesterday, hopefully it did not slow anything down. I am done with checking my email every 30 min.
  12. I got a copy from the military base, since I grew up in the military.
  13. I already have my shot record together but I am going to hold off on getting the BLS since, it cost money and a whole day. I don’t want to waste a weekend or my husband taking off to watch the kids. We should find out soon, my anxiety is not as high as it was waiting to hear if I would have gotten into the spring time.
  14. Yes most likely next week, since the 26th is the 6 week mark. Also orientation is march 22, I wish it was before our spring break instead of during my daughters spring break. I had to put our mini vacation on hold until I find out if I get in or not.
  15. I don’t think today is the day ☹️
  16. Did anybody receive an acceptance letter??
  17. If your degree audit for nursing has any marked areas “no” besides the nursing classes, then you would not be eligible to be accepted until completed. I would message your advisor. I did not put my application in until my advisor told me to do since I was transferring credits from another college. Good luck!
  18. Congratulations, I was worried when I saw your post. I saw that you posted in the spring 2019 forum, that you applied in May. I just seen you differed it for the summer, I first thought that's how long the waiting list was. Which program did you choose?
  19. I went an looked back at the 2019 spring forum and she applied in may for the fall.
  20. Yes they increased to 160 starting of fall 2018, for every semester to have 160 seats.
  21. It is February! We should all find out in a a couple weeks!!
  22. A person does not have to reapply again, I would message your advisor to make sure how to differ the application for fall. Also the reviewing application email is an automatic email sent out, it does not mean they are actually looking at your application. So don’t be alarmed if you do not get one. I would keep in contact with your advisor and don’t be afraid to ask them questions, even if you think they are silly. My advisor has answered any questions that have asked, really has kept my anxiety down.
  23. @J_Johnson If you look onto your Health Science Online Application it says underneath your submission date Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Students who meet all the admission requirements are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis for a specific campus. Once a campus enrollment is filled for the upcoming term, students will continue to be reviewed for future program start dates for that campus. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply well before January 15, May 15, & September 15. All admission decisions will be sent to your Atlas e-mail approximately 6-8 weeks after these dates. This is why everyone is asking when people applied. I have talked to a few advisor for the nursing program, there is a wait list. People who applied for spring in July through September did not get in since people who applied in April through May for the Fall got pushed for spring. Hope that helps.
  24. I have been emailing Kate Martin, I email her every couple of weeks (probably is annoyed of me lol). I have even tried asking her how many were wait listed for the spring time, because i do not want to get my hopes up and be wait listed again. She couldn't tell me but I hoping I get it in. I put my application in August 15, I finish my AA this semester. I really do not want to take a semester off. Kate Martin Career Program Advisor, AS Nursing Valencia College - West Campus
  25. I'm surprised you did not get into spring 2019, I seen a couple of people who applied in July get into the program. They are a first come, first serve or supposed to be. What program did you select for?
