  1. I'm with you, can't figure out the live person bit neither:no:
  2. I would like to chat anytime, I always need some advice when it comes to nursing, I've been an lpn for about 14-15months and I'm having a hard time adjusting, maybe you could give me some advice.
  3. i would love to join in on a nurses chat room, I've been a nurse for about 15months, still trying to figure out if it's worth going on for the bsn as I'm an lpn, can't figure out if I want to stay just yet.
  4. I was talking about what other nurses do, not what I do, I would never sit and chat while someone needs something, I take my job seriously, even though I try to liven things up with the residents as well.
  5. Hey I just came back from pittsburgh, I was looking into the same things myself, I also found that there is a teaching hospital chain called UPMC I interviewed at the mckeesport branch, but she was telling me that they have a really great program, I decided not to go there though b/c it was way too costly to relocate and what they were paying would not be nearly enough to cover expenses and try to move there. Hope everything works out for you. PM me if you desire more info.
  6. I agree with this, I have only been an lpn for 14months, and my biggest thing is that I never sit down b/c I'm constantly making sure that all of my residents needs are met to the best of my abilities and it makes me wonder b/c I see so many nurses sitting around chatting, and I can't figure it out. I take my job very serious, b/c these are people's lives you're dealing with, not some party place and that's coming from a 27year old, who does have a life and likes to party, but there is a time and place for it and yes it is good to get along with the people you work with, but to a point of professionalism.
