Hey Kayla, I didn't receive a bachelor's but I was attending another CUNY. I didn't do so well in certain science courses, and they have all been transferred over as Science electives on my BMCC transcript. They're not going to factor into my BMCC GPA, but the Nursing Dept. will still see those grades and their course numbers (BIO140, CHM220, etc) and I am afraid it will hurt my application. You said something about not doing your best for your Bachelors...did ever talk to anyone in the Nursing Dept. about that? I contacted the Nursing Dept. and they said that they look at the pre-requisite GPA but that they will be able to see my grades from my previous institution. If I do well in pre-requisite courses at BMCC, and do well on the Kaplan exam, I hope that I will be able to compensate for my subpar transfer grades. What are your thoughts? Thanks for your time.
