  1. I am not at the end yet , few more classes to go so I will see what happens then. Good luck to everyone on their path.
  2. Current student and have not had a problem , out of 5 schools I attended this has been pleasant.
  3. I started out in nursing homes, a little hospital- mental health, utilization review, precertification. I hope to continue in managed care but in a better position when I become a RN.
  4. Hi! I am not in your school but am a new LPN-RN Bridge student, it starts in a few days. I work fulltime and have no idea what to expect. I am scared. I just want to make it through the end. Even though I don't go to your school, any questions I can help with or if I can get any help would be great. It is very hard finding information on the experience of the LPN-RN bridge, not sure why. I am not fresh out of hospital exp or clinical so I have even more thoughts and questions. Good luck! ?
  5. Hi. I start LPN-RN bridge in few days and 2 classes will be online and some of clinical and some in lab. I do not know what to expect. If you can share your exp, it would be great. Thank you.
  6. and also, when school starts Wed, I will be mixing myself in with the first time nursing students. I have no intention on acting like I know what I am doing. With the bridge, the LPN join with the ASN class after 1st semester. So 3 classes were skipped. I will be a nursing student. ?
  7. Hi, I have been LPN for 20 years and the last 15 have been utilization review, no clinical. I have not touched a patient is 15 yrs and I finally got accepted to a program. I have been trying to go back to school forever. I made the pre exams and assessments to be able to start this Aug. I had to cram so much of what I have not been doing on my own in books. I do not know how it happened. But I made it, I start in Aug. If I could do it, you can. I have failed A&P twice, withdrew once, did not get accepted to 3 programs because of either GPA or TEAS score. 6 yrs later of trying. It can happen. Don't give up. A lot of people seem very smart and have high GPAs on this site and that is not me. So please try, you can do it.
  8. It scared me that I cannot find any info on this program.
  9. Has anyone been accepted to the Gordon State Lpn RN bridge program 2020? Can anyone give their opinion on the Gordon State Lpn RN bridge program? What is the LPN validation exam like? Is the skills test hard?
  10. I am currently in the same situation for 2019 and can’t find any insight on the entrance exam. It says you must have 95% on pharmacology section, that makes me feel like I should have done generic track even though a LPN. I am terrified.
  11. Are we the only profession that is questioned like that? And looked down upon when you say LPN. There are a lot of great CNA's just like LPNs And just like RNs.
  12. Why is it when someone asks "what do you do" and you say " I am a nurse", the comeback with RN?, if I knew 15 yrs ago that we weren't considered real nurses I would have had my RN a long time ago. Why have LPN schools if this is how we are portrayed?
