  1. @storm30 NK told me that there are 30 people on the waiting list.
  2. I called Nancy and she told me that I’m waitlisted. They still need to work on the waitlisted group and if I want a definite answer, to call back tomorrow. I think if she’s telling you to call back tomorrow, it’s a good sign! I’m wondering how many people are on the waitlist and how likely it is for them to be accepted. Anyway, good luck everyone!
  3. Thanks for the update guys!
  4. I think it might be sometime this week, as I was told the week of 25th. You can also call too if you don't want to wait, which I will be doing later today!
  5. @kevin24 told me that they responded to him -- it will be next week, 5 more days! Let's keep each other posted if anyone gets a call first! ?
  6. @bspart2 thank you! Do you think a car is necessary & where do you suggest living that's close to campus (walking distance)?
  7. If anyone decides to call the admissions office for more information, please relay the information here! ?
  8. I just got off the call with Nancy, and she said decisions aren't made yet as they are still interviewing. She projects calls will be made by Feb. 25th but will call sooner if decisions are made before then.
  9. I'm coming from San Francisco.
  10. @kevin24 Wow, it’s already competitive getting into the program and you have to compete again to secure a seat in the next semester.. that’s tough. I know, I’m nervous to know if I got in too. And I find it a bit surprising that they are still interviewing. Where you from?
  11. @kevin24 - that's true but I think this program does that too. its harder the first quarter, and then it gets easier. I hope we hear back soon. Reading the forum for the May 2018, it looks like they started making calls first week of Feb.
  12. Hey @kevin24, did you apply to other programs?
  13. I'm happy allnurses is back and running! Looking at previous cohort forums, it looks like we won't be hearing back until Feb 4th? Ugh, the wait is killing me!
  14. @kevin -- Yea, it got my hopes up too. I guess their system is late in sending it out or has a glitch. We have another ~1.5 months left of waiting.
  15. @kristi20 thanks! If you can have it send it as pdf to her. next week, give her a call to see if she will accept it. good luck!
  16. Hello! I just completed the interview today. The interviewer said we will most likely get a response by late Jan/early Feb, so right now is just the waiting game. We'll keep each other posted! @Kristi20 - I think you should give Nancy Kita a call and ask. She's really nice and super helpful, so she can give you some advice on what to do.
  17. Hi NieuwSEHverpleegster, I just stumbled upon your informative post and had some questions! I think my situation is very similar to yours where my undergrad gpa isnt the best but good thing I went through grad school where I now have a 3.94 gpa. Do you know what I can do to make my application stand out? I've been researching and no one seems to know how they choose their students.
  18. Ahh, okay -- So depending on your schedule and my familiarity of the subject (using your example of 2 hours/section), I could be done with stats in a week if I dedicated 4 hours a day. Are the multiple choice tests hard? For example, you had to have read the book, practice problems and know the material well in order to get it right? I've been looking at other school's prereqs and all of them require labs, except for Duke. I hope there were more schools that did not require labs so I don't have to put all my eggs into UR.
  19. For the prereqs, you took about 2 per semester? How many hours a week did you spend on the course? Besides UR, did you apply elsewhere? Thank you so much for answering these questions for me! :)
  20. That's good you got the classes discounted since they cost so much. Could you rate the other classes also? Since the tests are "open-book," did you have to study? I hope you get into their program though -- it's so close you!
  21. Hi Gooper! Do you happen to know how they choose students for the program? My undergrad GPA isnt the best but I do have a masters, so I hope counts for something. I'm afraid to complete the prereqs through UR, and end up not getting into it, since other accelerated programs require labs for their prereqs.
  22. Hi! I am thinking of doing the prereqs at Rochester and was wondering if anyone else did it on here and how long it took. I just want to gauge how much time needs to be allocated before all the prereqs are completed. Thanks!
