Hey there guys this is my 5th semester applying for the nursing program at saddleback college. I originally turned in my application with 63 points a couple of years ago. My friend was accepted that same application period with 65. since then I have worked with senior citizens for a home care agency and have put in about 500 hours of service while bringing up my science GPA from a 3.0 to a 3.66. Last application period I was one of the 15 alternates with 75 points, and received a notification in my email that the application was full and I was not going to get in. However, last application period during the deliberation period, someone on this blog stated that they were accepted with 74 points. now another person in this blog is saying the cut off was 77 last application period. I’m not sure if it’s only based on your points whether you’re accepted or not. I believe there are other factors involved such as the nursing committee and administration/counseling committees. Either way I’m enrolled in anatomy at another college to bring up my GPA to a 4.0 and will be able to put in my application with 80 points next time around. Wish me luck with my 75 this time around! Hopefully they remember my name and how committed I am to getting into this program. Otherwise I might need to consider obtaining a health care license of some sort or retaking my teas. Good luck fellow future nurses!! AA degree - 2 points N204 + 200 hours direct patient care = 5 points Science GPA (3.66) - 25 points Relevant Coursework - 20 points Life Experience - 3 points TEAS (78%) - 20 points Total: 75 points
