Inexperienced DON
I inadverently did not mention that I do not have LTC experience. This is proably a big factor with the issues I am currently facing.

Inexperienced DON
I accepted a DON position three months ago with hope of making a difference in long term care. The facilitiy was already in bad shape when I took the position. At the time when I made the acceptance, I anticipated getting oriented to the position. Unfortunately, I have not been thoroughly oriented leading to various problems. The facility is in the survey window and I feel it might be put into immediate jeopardy, as there is not much time. I am so stressed mentally, physically and emotionally that I want to put in my resignation. Should I jump ship and protect my license?

Nclex-rn Cut Off At 110 This A.m.:absolutely Sick!
I just took the NCLEX-RN this morning.....I finished 110 questions in 2hrs, 50 minutes.....I feel sick....that test blew me away! I primarily studied using Kaplan Trainer questions. I got a 65 on Kaplan Trainer Test #6 so I thought I was ready. Now, I don't know what to think. Personally, I think I failed.

Eligibility With Ncbon
I recently graduated with a BSN in December 2007 from a nursing school in SC. I was and currently am a resident of NC and as such, applied to the NCBON to become eligible to take the NCLEX. Well, February is here and I am still waiting for an ATT. To my knowledge they have received the out-of-state school transcripts but the NCBON website reflects that they have not been received. I am getting frustrated and anxious becuse I started my RN-Intern orientation this week and I am still awaiting a date! How long does is take the NCBON to confirm eligibility? Any suggestions?

January 2008 NCLEX support thread
Thanks for this thread. I will be taking the Nclex for the first time in January 2008 and as many graduates, I am nervous about taking it. I have heard comments such as the number of questions completed determines whether or not a person passes the exam; there's a lot of meds; invest in a Kaplan course and you'll pass the first time; Suzanne's plan, etc. After hearing all of these comments, I am somewhat unsure as to what is the best way to prepare for the nclex. I do not have a test date but I assume I will be taking it in six weeks. How are the January 2008 Nclex-takers preparing for the exam?
