  1. Has anyone received instructions on how to resister for classes? I know we got an email stating that we would receive instructions this week, but registration started today and I don’t have any new information. Thanks!
  2. Maybe instead of doing that this year, they are waiting until everyone either accepts or rejects the admittance offer. That offer expires on Thursday. Once they get in the rejections, they may go ahead and start sending out new admittances. There would still be enough time left over for the second E*Value meeting, too. Just a thought. Either way, I’m sure the stress is very real for a lot of people right now!
  3. Do waitlists typically roll out with the acceptances?
  4. If I had to guess, this is it for acceptances. We have already received information about E*Value Webex meetings for this week and so forth. They’re moving things along quickly, and I don’t feel they’d give some the advantage of this information and others not.
  5. That is most likely due to you having prerequisites that are currently in progress.
  6. I am currently in my last semester of prerequisites. I checked my portal at 4:30 and saw that it had been updated. Then I received the email at 4:45.
  7. I am also finishing my prerequisites and was conditionally admitted, as well. I believe we need to submit an updated transcript during the first semester of the program. I’ll definitely call them soon to check, though. Congratulations! My last name starts with a “J.”
  8. Hi, everyone! This is only my 2nd post so if this is in the wrong forum, please let me know. 15 year's ago, I took and completed Introduction to Psychology...got a B, English Composition...got an A, and General Biology...got a C. I was 20 and had a lot of other things going on that I foolishly gave priority to so I did not complete my prerequisites or go on to nursing school. I am am now looking at nursing school again. I have a few prerequisites that I would need to take before applying but because I passed those three, I do not have to take them again. My question is, should I? I would need to take Microbiology and I'm wondering if re-taking Biology would be important for that. Also, I'm not sure how much I remember from Introduction to Psychology and should I retake that before taking Psychology? I'm not worried about retaking English, though. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!
  9. Hi, everyone! This is my first post here so please bear with me. At 20 years old, I attempted the nursing school route at HCC. I completed half of my prerequisites and then pulled myself from school. I was not in a good place in my life so I was not ready. Then, I went down many paths, none of which brought me back to nursing. I am now 35 and have a soon-to-be 9 year old. I've never forgotten about my dream to be a nurse. I've always felt I was meant for it. I'm now looking into nursing school again and know that another school, Lonestar, seems to be quite popular. What is your experience with either/both? Are the courses different? Which has better facilities? Which is harder to succeed in? Which is harder to get into? Which has a more complete and supportive environment? Which do employers prefer? Any input would be greatly appreciated! I know it will be hard but anything worth doing is and I believe that I'm ready to make it work this time around. I'm only worried about math! If this is in the wrong forum, please let me know so I can repost appropriately.
