  1. Not sure if you were able to take your next steps to becoming a CNA but following up just in case! Becoming a CNA isn't too time consuming. Additionally, a lot of your local colleges or specialized schools probably offer a CNA certification course at an affordable rate. Your first step would be to make calls to these schools and ask for more information on their CNA programs.
  2. The majority, if not all, jobs within the medical field require some kind of certification or license. Your best bet would be any internship or volunteer opportunities at your local hospital or senior home.
  3. Becoming a CNA doesn't require too much schooling and is less costly than medical school. Your local colleges more than likely offer a CNA certification course, so I would look into those first (community colleges, specialized certification programs, etc). Another great thing about these programs is that they are typically offered in both the day and evening times so juggling school and/or work isn't difficult.
  4. We agree with this as well. While there's absolutely nothing wrong with being a Medical Assistant, you'll want to have hands-on experience with actual patients - which you'll get as a CNA. Most CNA certification courses can be completed in just a few months which will help you prepare for your state certification exam!
